This is a must win game for me. Win and we put the pressure on all around us and go into Saturday with it still all in our hands and high in confidence. Lose or draw and we all really start to feel it and probably go into the weekend in the bottom 4. Think the team picks itself for me.... The 11 that finished the Wimbledon game. Crowd need to be the extra man and keep off the teams back. Hopefully plenty will be out in force for such a huge game and we get 5000 there. KTF

Agree with Big Dog on this one. Fane was decent yesterday on the whole and does the job we need him to do. Blaming him for the goals is conceded yesterday is a bit lame and it's probably people who were not there having a go as the reason we conceded wasn't Fane. Particularly the first one where the whole team seemed to stand still and watch for a couple of seconds. Out of interest who would all the Fane haters on here (no pun intended) play instead of him in his role ? Over the season I suggest we'd be in an even worse position than we are if he wasn't in the team. He's not the most gifted player in the squad granted but there are plenty out there who see his value

Sorry don't agree. First half we were crap hence getting booed off at HT. Davies clearly not match fit. God knows why Wellens started with him instead of Holloway. And Tope just lacks quality. Quick yes but often runs round like a headless chicken! Still can't understand not starting with Byrne again. We looked a different team when he came on at HT. He's our best bloody player. It's up to Wellens to manage and motivate him properly not keep dropping him and bringing him on at HT. 90 mins of Jack and Holloway and we would have won no question today. Do agree though Gardner was my MOM... He put in a right shift today, and the lads Hamer and Edmundson looked solid at the back. Fane also disciplined and effective today. Just a bit pissed of its a game we could and should have won if Wellens got his side right from the start. Our best 11 is the11 who finished today so let's hope he sticks with this on Tuesday as it looks like Gerrard is out which will be a blow as he won everything in the air today.

Huge test of Wellens management ability today. Need everyone on it 100%, the right line up and spot on tactics. Went there earlier this season with a Rotherham supporting mate and Wimbledon outplayed them knocking the ball around really well. Looks like a full house with another amazing away support so no more excuses...

Last season I got 3 tickets for the home terrace tried it on to get in the latics section and breezed through May be worth a try if you get tickets

Lots of talk about who our next manager will be! I'm not Wellens' biggest fan as I've made perfectly clear in previous posts, I do but think we all need to unite and get behind him and the team for the next 4 games. Once league one status secured...Graham Alexander for me next season. Realistic target and proven at this level.

We did get the unexpected win at Scunny and a point at Oxford Singe! I recon we will need 53 points to be safe so as long as we beat Donny and Northampton we should be OK. Think it will go to the wire though and expect a mad scramble for 800 tickets at Northampton. Last day fixtures probably mean anything could happen!

Really like Moimbe as a player but he can be a liability which can and has cost us points which could send us down. Easily could have been sent off at Oxford last week from where I was sat, nearly cost us at Blackburn and did cost us today!

Hey Smiler. I did watch all the the Royal era the JF days from around 1976. I'm all for giving a manager time to build a team... But not if I think its the wrong manager. I just think Wellens isn't the man and I'd rather give time to someone who already has cut their teeth in the EFL. Just my opinion... He has some decent players but what he's got out of them over the past 4 months has been pretty dire.

The key difference is Hurst wasn't a complete Rookie. Started at Ilkastone...won promotion. Went to Boston...won promotion. Went to Grimsby....won promotion. Went to Shrewsbury...performed miracles and may get promoted. My point is that we need a manager with experience of managing a football team We have demonstrated with Kelly, Dunn, Robinson, Wellens that rookie managers rarely work out at out level (I know there will be the odd exception...) Not necessarily one with a massive profile (and wage demands) but someone who tactically knows how to get the best out of what you have got. Are Shrewsbury's players that much better than ours? I don't think so. IMO whatever happens over the next 6 games I'd look to change it ASAP with a fresh face for next season as I'm getting bored with finishing 17th!

Think 52 will be enough as long as we don't lose at Wimbledon....4 points from the next 2 home games will do nicely!

Anyone know if Gerrard will be fit? Could do with him today I think.
