  1. Not saying it would be easy... However was over 2 years ago and a club formed out of protest. Look at the likes of Wycombe and Exeter. They seem to be doing OK.
  2. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p-2lPxgtC60 Our club today is in a giant bloody hole, which seems to be getting deeper by the day, with no obvious way out. (barring a "genuine" multi millionaire buying us, building a new stadium and trying to buy back the days of the pinch me years which is pretty unlikely) The attached link explains pretty simply about how fan owned clubs work and the various options available. I for one would 100% support this type of initiative. Appreciate this will probably never lead us back to the glory days, but it would make us feel like a REAL football club again, and not the joke of a club that we are today. The current fan owned clubs seem to be a happy places and they have had some success'. I'm totally fucked off with the charlatans and wasters from the past 15 years, who have systematically destroyed a club I have supported for over 40 years. Since that fraudster Chris Moore bailed out 15 years ago, we have been in steady decline, and its a minor miracle that we are actually still a football league football club today imo. I would happily pledge and invest in a piece of our football club, as I suggest would hundreds of others, if it meant genuine Latics supporters taking control of the club, and putting an end to what seems to be a never ending circus. I don't confess to understanding how something like this starts...or even if its viable, but if the debt is drastically reduced compared to what is was 12 months ago, then I wonder how much it would take to "purchase" 51% of the club from our illusive chairman. If the rumors he is skint are correct I guess he'd welcome the chance to get out while he can and give it up for nothing!! Just a thought.....all views any any expertise on this subject welcome!
  3. Is AL in the country and has anyone actually seen him lately? If he's around, surely he wouldnt show his face tomorrow if the payment issue wasn't sorted? He'd look a compete dick and our fans would crucify him. If he's not there then I think we are up the shitcreek, and I really fear for our future... ?
  4. Sounds like a piss poor performance but most would have taken a point tonight. Were unbeaten in 4, still unbeaten away and it's another clean sheet. We move on at home to an out of form Carlisle on Saturday which should be lively with Shez and Gerrard coming back. Let's get behind the team, have a good crack, get back in the top 7. This league is crap and being hard to beat will stand us in good stead. KTF
  5. This will be our toughest game to date I think and a good marker as to where we are. They are difficult to beat and score plenty at home so defensively we will really be tested. Another 0-0 wouldn't surprise me.... However I hope we give it a decent go and try to win the game.
  6. Tough game this but we are hard to beat away from home so I'm confident we will get a positive result of some sort. Amazingly we've only lost once away from home in the league since the end of January and that was at the Pie eaters. Good recent record at Swindon as well, unbeaten in our last 6 trips there, winning 3 and drawing 3. I going for a 2-1 win Surridge and Jose scoring?
  7. Glad he's with us and we're not playing against him. Would like him to be on the pitch more but hopefully that's coming. I'd start him ahead of Lang at Swindon on Saturday and get a good 60mins out of him.
  8. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/45579754 Interesting piece. Very sad that he has such issues away from football. Not sure him joining our circus of a couple of months ago would have done him any hood. However if he's OK I'd take him any day of the week. Quality player.
  9. Home firm not really good enough to challenge at the top of the table at the moment it seems. W2 L4 so far if you include the cup games. Only got to the home MK game to date where we were OK so i don't have a balanced view on what we need to do to make BP more of a fortress. Any thoughts from those that go regularly??
  10. Swindon, Northants and Stevenage for me... Never been to Stevenage before... Anyone know what it's like?
  11. Completely agree. Any partnership with them can only be good news.
  12. With another £208,000 due before his contract expires!!!!!
  13. You'd hope not Monty.....otherwise his performances to date have cost us £208,000!!
  14. Your not Maouche's agent are you kowenicki?? ? £4k per week gives you a nice cut.....
  15. Not at all kowenicki....and I did say I wasn't there last night if you read my post. Most accounts said he had a decent game so fair play. I dis see him start at Shrewsbury in the CAT QF last season - absolutely useless and brought off at HT. Saw him in the MKD opener this season - came on for last 15 mins (bit unfair to get rated granted) but IMO had zero influence on anything Saw him at FGR this season - came on for most of the 2nd half and was shite. Just chased the ball around with little desire, didn't put in a tackle without giving away a free kick and can't remember a single pass to feet. 3 competitive games where IMO he looked like a lost sheep I'm afraid and nothing to do with being foreign lad...just an honest opinion of what I have seen. Like i said I'm happy to be proved wrong, and maybe given some game time he will show us why we are supposedly paying him 4K per week!!
  16. Hmmm....didn't see the the game last night but by all accounts he seems to have had a good game. However on the 3 occasions I have seen him play he has been absolutely shite! And as others have said 3 managers have not fancied him. Perhaps if given a start he may surprise a few and get some confidence. However I'm yet to be convinced he is physical enough, or has the bollocks for league 2. Happy to be proved wrong on this though as we do need some creative spark in midfield.
  17. Iversen and Nepo have been arguably 2 of our most consistent players this season and will be a huge miss, particularly Iversen against Newport, who are going really well. Need the fans to be up for this and get behind the boys as they will bring 350 or so vocal Taffs I would imagine. I'd take another scrappy win by the odd goal anytime!!
  18. Pity Bryne wasn't thinking about Fane's legs more, when this whole mess started!! ?
  19. Really don't get all this Gardner criticism. We have who have now till Jan at least. Yes he's not perfect but in my view we are a much better side with him in or rather than not.
  20. JACK BYRNE HAS GONE!! Topic closed..... Please?
  21. Jesus I'm bored with this topic...I don't even consider Byrne as a Latics player any more as we will never see him play for us again. Please just move on everyone!
  22. Grobbelaar probably had a Brucie bet on that scoreline.... ?
