Lots of talk about who our next manager will be! I'm not Wellens' biggest fan as I've made perfectly clear in previous posts, I do but think we all need to unite and get behind him and the team for the next 4 games. Once league one status secured...Graham Alexander for me next season. Realistic target and proven at this level.

So Shez not retained by Fleetwood and they go for that muppet! They must be mad!!

We did get the unexpected win at Scunny and a point at Oxford Singe! I recon we will need 53 points to be safe so as long as we beat Donny and Northampton we should be OK. Think it will go to the wire though and expect a mad scramble for 800 tickets at Northampton. Last day fixtures probably mean anything could happen!

Thinks we need 2 wins from somewhere....Wimbledon would be a good start

Obvs Dale is a massive game tomorrow, but so is Wimbledon Saturday. Could do with a big Oasis following as whatever happens tomorrow can't afford to lose this one. Many folk going?? Bit more local for me but gutted I can't get to Dale tomorrow?

Really like Moimbe as a player but he can be a liability which can and has cost us points which could send us down. Easily could have been sent off at Oxford last week from where I was sat, nearly cost us at Blackburn and did cost us today!

Hey Smiler. I did watch all the the Royal era the JF days from around 1976. I'm all for giving a manager time to build a team... But not if I think its the wrong manager. I just think Wellens isn't the man and I'd rather give time to someone who already has cut their teeth in the EFL. Just my opinion... He has some decent players but what he's got out of them over the past 4 months has been pretty dire.

The key difference is Hurst wasn't a complete Rookie. Started at Ilkastone...won promotion. Went to Boston...won promotion. Went to Grimsby....won promotion. Went to Shrewsbury...performed miracles and may get promoted. My point is that we need a manager with experience of managing a football team We have demonstrated with Kelly, Dunn, Robinson, Wellens that rookie managers rarely work out at out level (I know there will be the odd exception...) Not necessarily one with a massive profile (and wage demands) but someone who tactically knows how to get the best out of what you have got. Are Shrewsbury's players that much better than ours? I don't think so. IMO whatever happens over the next 6 games I'd look to change it ASAP with a fresh face for next season as I'm getting bored with finishing 17th!

Think 52 will be enough as long as we don't lose at Wimbledon....4 points from the next 2 home games will do nicely!

Anyone know if Gerrard will be fit? Could do with him today I think.

Just to respond to your points TheBigDog... Yes I was there Saturday and have been most weeks for the past 40 odd years. I'm more than happy to have egg on my chin(no pun intended), as the 4 hour drive home in the Easter traffic was a lot sweeter having played OK 2nd half and won the game Also I will be at Oxford at the weekend so say hello! Most sat around me at HT on Saturday were moaning about Wellens tactics and not picking JB, so I decided to post my opinion. My view still stands...since beating Rochdale we have picked up 22 points from 21 games winning just 5. Relegation form and relegation performances in the main. Anyone who cant see this is delusional. I'm just saying that in my opinion, having seen plenty of managers come and go over the past 4 decades, he's not the the man for me, or the man to take the club forward next season whatever happens. I hope he proves me wrong.

Some reasonable points made so let's wait and see what Wellens does at Oxford next Sat. Needs more than a 30 min JB cameo to convince me Wellens is the man to keep us up. I hope I'm wrong... ?

Much needed 3 points but still not out of the mire and Wellens team selection and tactics questionable. Had no option to bring on Byrne and he changed the game as we know. Benyu just tweeted the club asking Wellens to stop ignoring his calls and texts...says it all about his man management abilities

Starting this topic as we are 1-0 down at home to Blackpool with Wellens seemingly clueless May be irrelevant if we turn it around but my view is we need a manager with experience or we will be relegated. Still 7 games left after today and we have a squad capable of scraping together enough points to stay up... Mainly due to some really poor teams in and around us but that's OK. Sack Wellens now and appoint someone like Graham Alexander short term to try and at least organise us and get the most out of what we have. It's pretty clear Wellens just can't do this and is out of his depth

I'm sorry but have to agree. Tactical experience is a must at this time of the season...as we have seen over the past few years. You play to your strengths and do what you need to do, and Wellens isn't doing this or simply just doesn't know how to. I don't like talking about Shez as he dug his own grave imo earlier this season, and at the time had to go. But look at Fleetwood now. 6 games unbeaten since Shez appointed, 2 goals conceded and now pretty much safe. He knows what to do and get players to execute a plan. We have the players but Wellens continued tactical nieveness really worries me now and unless he gets it right soon we will really be in the shit. Next 3 games critical for Wellens otherwise I can see AL getting rid and trying someone else for the last 5 or 6 games.

Out for the rest of the season....not the best news
