TeessideQuaker
Now then, Darlo fan here. I'm gutted we've lost DP, but I'd like to wish him all the best. This is his first season where every squad member was "his" player, and had we not been docked those points, I'm certain we'd have gained automatic promotion. I've also heard one or two players will be joining him, as well as MArtin Gary and Andy Collett, (who I rate very highly as a goalkeeping coach) Anyway, all the best next season. DeeDahRover
I would imagine his first signing will be Ravenhill a typical Dave Penney player really. Gives 100 percent passion and all that. Can't really pass it very well but play him next to a passer and he should do ok. Always got a bit overshadowed here by Paul Green, but they were a very good pairing in the conference and Ravenhill became the understudy to Doolan and he was always great when he came in. A solid if unspectacular midfielder, every squad needs one. He'll do a good job if he joins.

Saw your lot on Saturday (though from the Palace end)...you've got a good little side there, even if they did get a bit lucky first half...Richie was superb, as always. Bastard. martjs
I love how when others fans come on here "in peace" and give good info on their former players/managers etc. someone always manages to give them the old "Eff You". Brilliant. "We were in the Prem once you know..." Thanks for the info TeesideQuaker and good luck next season. Given that Darlo have plenty to worry about yourselves, I'll just say thanks on behalf of the more polite Oldham fans for taking the time to call by. I've always rated Penney, if he gets us fit, playing attacking football with two wingers at a high tempo he'll become a favourite. All the best for Darlo, hope the hard times are replaced by good times soon.

OldhamSheridan
hi what is your local paper called You've got The Northern Echo and the Darlington & Stockton Times. There's probably more, but the place is almost Yorkshire so I don't go there.
TeessideQuaker
Austin - A good quality right back. One of the best I've seen in League Two easily. Definetly good enough for League One. Bergmeier - An excellent dead ball specialist. Can sometimes drift in and out of games, but a real good winger. Doesn't really have pace though. Kennedy - I've been disappointed with him this season. Apart from his goal against Rochdale, he hasn't really been that impressive. He definetly has potential though. Purdie - A good utility man. Our player of the year. An excellent player. He's the one I'm going to miss most. Abbott - Good striker, but has missed a shed load of playing time through injuries. It would be good to get him off our wage bill. All the best. Thanks for the heads up player wise & good luck with all things financial at your club; we've been there ourselves and it really isn't pretty. We lost a bunch of our players when the vultures came circling; some of the best we've had in years went for next to nothing so I do feel for you as its looks like this about to happen to you guys. Hope the local business man who is interested in your club; Raj something, sorts it all out for you. Good luck, hope Sundays game raises the profile of your clubs plight.
