I have to say, I quite like that Ross. I suppose they'd have the issue of advance purchase of tickets to work around but they could always go with the 'current price' and use it as an incentive to maintain interest when we're on a crap run. Granted it's so cheap because we have been :censored: this season, but there is hardly a game where everyone doesn't get in for less than they would pay having had a season ticket. Cue ST sales falling through the floor, and we have seen already that cheap tickets don't increase attendances much, especially to see a losing team. So massive losses of revenue when we are :censored:.Likewise when we are oing well there's an incentive not to come with higher prices. End result I see as less revenue and more suicidal fans as the borderline attendees only see us getting hammered in the middle of a miserable run of form. BUT i think there are some problems basically you are paying end of game yes? as you can not pay til then as you dont know the result, therefore there could be to many fans in stadium than seats ( yes ino unlikely but still.. ) also, the wait to get out at the end would take forever, the last fans would be leaving around 5.30? Also, for the people who go leave before whistle becos their p*ssed off at the team performance or they want to leave to get out of car park early, how much do they pay? I know what you mean, I've floated many's the idea only for Real to come along and sink it on the basis of the model figures I used I think it reminds me of my least favourite promotion too much, that thing of trying to drag new punters in on December 19th each year to see a completely lacklustre game against uninspiring opposition in the drizzle and gloom, then wondering why they don't come again. c.hill12 Posted February 2, 2010 Share Posted February 2, 2010 a very good idea. but to further develop it and make this fair for st holders: work out the average saving that each spectator made through out the season. so if the average match costs £16 next season (2010/11) you would save £4 on average per game. then work this out over the season so that would be £92. So every 2010/11 st holder who renews in 2011/12 is given a £22 club shop voucher and £70 off their 2011/12 season ticket. this should keep renewals up and it would be fair to st holders. if they don't renew they just get the £22 voucher. complicated at first but read it thoroughly and it should make sense Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
