JohnnyPimp
According to a steward at the match, Akinfenwa's at the club tonight to sign a contract with us. May be the reason Pav's missing.

He'll do a job for us if true, apparently signed a pre-contract agreement with Sarfend, but they cancelled it as they couldnt afford him anymore. Bristolatic
According to a steward at the match, Akinfenwa's at the club tonight to sign a contract with us. May be the reason Pav's missing. May also be the reason Pav's on the bench and didn't come on when Feeney went off. Wouldn't be a bad signing IMO.

HarryBosch
37 in 88 for Northampton in the last 2 years - that's more like it.
fleetwood Blue
37 in 88 for Northampton in the last 2 years - that's more like it. thats what we need , a big powerful striker who isnt afraid to put his head in were it hurts. Him and Feeney would work a treat.

rudemedic
Be interesting to see what the Pav out brigade think of this, as the last time he was in this league he scored the same number of goals as Pav did last season- and guess what he also took the penalties. NOTE- I'm not saying he won't do a good job for us- I think he will, we've been missing the attacking equivalent of Sean Gregan for a bit. JohnnyPimp
To paraphrase the great Jimmy Nail, he's lying. To be fair to the lad, he was told by one of the other stewards who could've been pulling his leg. It did cross my mind that I may have been speaking to THE Royle Army. BigfinLatic
If we sign Akinfenwa, and then somehow manage to get Guy Branston and Will Haining to be the opposition defence for EVERY game, then this will work just fine. Torquay at home. *shudder*
