Out of interest, the most popular sites visited so far are:

Amazon (shame as they currently pay 0%)

Asda

eBay

Game

M&S

M&S Personalised Cards

Play

Superdrug

Thorntons

For those looking to buy some last minute Valentines choccie, Throntons are offering a 10% discount if you type in code TISY at the checkout (I've not verified this, but it normally works)! Best act quick though.

Good concept this if we can get it into peoples minds to do before going onto sites...Also finally signed up to player share after the last 3 weeks of meaning to! Only a pint per week but guess it all helps!

Shameless bump to remind people of the new PlayerShare web shop.

It's Sunday. Many people have a little bit more time on their hands and some will doubtless hit the net and buy a few things.

If you're shopping online, please go via this site first and go to your preferred retail from it.

Any spending you do should earn a commission which will go directly to PlayerShare funds - no cost to you at all.

Thanks for helping!

excellent idea

Mods can we give this a bit more hype by posting it up the top end of the page with other schemes that can contribute. I might not remember this in a few weeks time but if I knew where it was roughly when I log in and its in my face then great stuff

It would be a shame to lose this thread when other threads are posted

Thanks in advance

Statistically threads which bounce around here, where this one is, get more traffic than those at the top.

An analogy would be a conversation is more effective than a flyer on the wall at getting a message across. People will see the flyer, might even read it, but by actually talking about it - the pros, cons and ways to improve etc. - you actually have a more effective product.

If O4U want's to write a "flyer" post for it in a separate thread I'll happily pin that for you/him.

Please remember to use the PlayerShare web shop when shopping online.

Why not add it to your favourites? At home and work!

You can even make it your home page.

If you buy gig tickets or sporting tickets via Ticketmaster then go via the PlayerShare web shop.

An easy £1 a time:

T-Mobile SIM

FREE pay as you go SIM card. No contracts, no tie-ins! If you wish to make multiple SIM requests, open a new browser, visit your Webshop and click ‘visit store’ each time.

Contribution: £1 per order

Whatever, there's loads of retailers available and it makes a very simple contribution to the scheme.

I'll keep bumping this as it's money for old rope.

The PlayerShare Web Shop does seem to be earning money from Amazon as well - so please start / keep using it for all your online shopping.

Add it to your favourites and do all your online shopping this way. It takes about 5 seconds more to earn PlayerShare a commission that costs you nothing.

Feel free to ask any questions.

Thanks to whoever made a purchase at Play.com recently.

By going through the PlayerShare Web Shop first you've earned the scheme £1.20!

This takes the earning so far past the £20 mark. It's quick, it's easy and it costs you nothing.

So please start / carry on using this link for all your online shopping!

Here's some examples of ways to really give the scheme a boost:

Order a free sim card from TMobile - £1 - even if you don't use it

Use code '3MHPLR' to receive 3 months half price on any 24 month Vodafone handset contract - expires Monday 28th February - £90 to Playersgare.

Taking out a life insurance policy with LV bags £50.

Ordering your office supplies via Euroffice earns 7% commission - and you can charge the spending to your business.

Just my usual bump!

Nobody has even clicked on a shop today ... so here's the link again to remind you:

Hi o4u, picking up on a point by Ackey about a poster, his poster signature always catached the eye.

It might be an idea to do a poster that you can click through to, to really help awareness as well as your usual bumperageing.

Quite agree. Just a bit clueless as to how to get the picture into my signature.

Got codes below that also look quite promising, but how to work them??? HELP!

Yesterday's shops visited via the PlayerShare WebShop included:

Dabs (computers, televisions etc and 2% back)

M&S (5% and I think it rebates when you buy gift vouchers online)

Park Resorts (seaside holidays AND 5% rebate to PlayerShare)

Play.com (DVD, CD etc pays up to 6%)

Raileasy (Train ticket booking - not used this one before but it rebates 1% - is it any good?)

Staples (office, electircals and stationery and 6% back)

Thanks to everybody who keeps using the PlayerShare WebShop - remember to add it to your favourites and use it every time you shop online.

If you are planning on booking a hotel in Bournemouth this weekend (or anywhere, come to think of it!) remember to use the PlayerShare Web Shop and earn 6% commission by booking via Hotels.com.

It's free for you to use the service and great for the PlayerShare scheme!

6% is good - the official site and/or the Trust ought to be pushing this too, if they haven't already.

It was on the front page of the Trust site last time I looked.

But anything anybody can do to widen interest in it, get in to the habit of using it, getting the other half in the habit of using it, using it for business related purchases etc will help. Just adding it to favourites and making sure you remember to use it is a great starting point!

The smaller purchases like DVDs etc are great, and the big purchases like hotels, holidays, mobile phone contracts etc are where the big chunks of cash can come from.

It's probably making about half of what I thought it would make at the moment but it does have the potential to make a lot more.

The marketing hasn't got much further than my signature line and posts on this thread - but that's been more successful than flogging a certain Ford Focus  !
