You know what Talksport are like; they like to get the scoops and would have mentioned it if allowed. Same happened yesterday with Richard Keys and Keith Curle. It would be nice if Corney or Barry released some sort of quick update, just to give the fans an insight into how matters are progressing and when the club might be likely to make the appointment. Someone exciting with no/not a lot of experience and pray we won't go down or a steady Eddie who you know will motivate players and get the best out of them as in Dowie's previous time with us and, hopefully, get them up the league. losesome Posted February 8, 2013 Share Posted February 8, 2013 Latics biggest problem will be to entice somebody on a short term contract. We are not in a position to be giving somebody a 3 year deal and people like Ritchie / Dowie etc will all be on decent media contracts. Andy Ritchie has already said that it would take a substantial offer to tempt him back into management. This is something others will want and we just can't afford. Can see us ending up with a cheap option of somebody like Sammy Lee and some others who are available and want to prove themselves in management.
