AndyGortonsMatches
Ok we've had posts for best XI and worst players full stop. How about those that whilst not entirely bad, fell way short of our expectations from when they signed. Here goes.. GK - Chris Day DF - Michael Clegg DF - Tore Pedersen DF - Peter Skipper DF - Glen Keeley MF - Toddy Orlygsson MF - Neil McDonald MF - Paul Kane ST - Alan Smart ST - Keigan Parker ST - Nicky Banger Sub 1 - Paul Moulden Sub 2 - Craig Davies ...any more ? Stevie_J
Bit unfair on Tore Pedersen. My memory of him was he looked decent and then got injured
razza699
Keanu Marsh-Brown.

Crusoe
Actually, forget that. Not sure if I'm too close to "entirely bad".
oafcmetty
Needs more Rodney jack.
JohnnyPimp
Glen Keeley arrived from Blackburn for £15k. Not sure what you were expecting from a player who cost less than a Ford Mondeo.
GravityGrave
Michael clegg Allan smart Warren feeney

razza699
Windass. Iwelumo. Ricketts. Iwelumo wasn't a let down, he was already :censored:e when we signed him. Dickovs most pointless signing of his reign.

Stevie_J
Glen Keeley arrived from Blackburn for £15k. Not sure what you were expecting from a player who cost less than a Ford Mondeo. I reckon you could have fixed yourself up with something nicer than a Mondeo for £15k back then.
De_La_Vega
Craig Davies? Behave son, the guy was binned off by incompetent management after scoring a decent number up front on his own. Madness. Toddy is harsh too. Though crap, when he scored once the scoreboard (remember that?) flashed up a "hot Toddy" graphic which was class. youngen
I'll throw one out there - Chris Killen How dare you tar Chris with the same brush as Michael Ricketts and Michael Clegg. I think in general, nearly every on loan striker during Sheridans reign. Ormerod, Kabba, Windass any more? oafc19
Killen and Davies are laughable. Both's goal records are pretty decent. Killen more so when fit.
deyres42
With Killen, factor in the transfer fee and wages with his injury record. Appleby is a great shout.
BlueJazzer
Oh come on!!!?? What's next? A poll to see which was the best or worst poll? Best - Kowenecki Worst - Pav
pukka
Matty :censored:ing Appleby. Gave up football to be a deep see diver!! Didn't Zamora get sent off for Booting him once? Sure he scored in that game too?
Zorrro
It was Chris Armstrong that Zamora kicked up in the air. He'd hit the bar a few minutes earlier as well. I think.
Lee Sinnott
I'll throw one out there - Chris Killen And I'll throw it back at you... without his goals in 05 (along with Becketts), we'd have gone down...
Craig D
Bit harsh on Nicky Banger? I seem to remember him scoring a fair few.
AndyGortonsMatches
Bit harsh on Nicky Banger? I seem to remember him scoring a fair few. 10 League goals in nearly 70 wasnt good enough. When he signed on loan initially in Oct 94 he looked a world beater especially against Arsenal in the League Cup. Once signed up, he rarely rose above mediocre (Stuart 'Deirdre' Barlow was much more effective) but did at least net the winner against City in Dec 96.
