iamjonesyyoafc
A quick comparison for each league for shots on target and goals scored. If you're wondering, Latics are (184, 50)
opinions4u
I think I'm in need of an executive summary.
whitey1980
We're slightly goalshy for the number of shots taken..... I think!!
Magic Mikey
I think I'm in need of an executive summary. The more shots you get on target, the more goals you score. I feel a conversation between Dr Watson and his companion coming on.

blueatheart
Jesus, is it time for the World Cup yet?
Fruitygoo
looks to me like we're 7 goals shy of average.... What you take from that depends on what percentage of our shots are pie in the sky long range efforts....
iamjonesyyoafc
Is there a correlation between attendance and points? Apparently it seems there is in League One and the Championship!!
Stagger Lee
What you take from that depends on what percentage of our shots are pie in the sky long range efforts.... Would we need a pie chart to show that?

Magic Mikey
err, no. Err, yes. I'd give you a lesson on correlation, but I charge for tutoring.
24hoursfromtulsehill
Err, yes. I'd give you a lesson on correlation, but I charge for tutoring. #Anywhere in 8 to 12 minutes, with a +/- 2-minute margin of error.

dannyboy55555
And in league 2 it seems you need to hit more shots on target to score the same amount of goals. So defenders/keepers in that league are comparitively better than the strikers.
Markoasis
No shots recorded being placed into the bottom right hand corner
Dave_Og
Err, yes. I'd give you a lesson on correlation, but I charge for tutoring. I know plenty on correlation thanks but there is much theory involved. If I have 100 shots on target that my cat could stop or one that rockets into the top corner that three keepers couldn't keep out then reality trumps theory. rudemedic
Remember correlation doesn't mean causation. (I'd have used the fancy doesn't equals symbol but don't know how to on my iPad)

They used to call Peter Bonetti "the cat". It's all starting to make sense now.
