BP1960
Why are they there, far too low and distracting not only to the players (especially the keepers), but blinding to those sat opposite in the main stand, what was wrong with the floodlights before? Take them down.

dec666
I don't mind as long as they're only temporary? Surely they're not the new permanent floodlights? Edited February 11, 2015 by dec666
drphibes
Didnt Preston complain about the bad lighting when we played them in the jpt ? Think Latics also mentioned they have had discussions with the league about the situation.
palmer1
how do you know it bothered the keepers?
ghostofcecere
The reason for the additional lights will be that with the roof panels being installed now, some of the light from the current floodlights will be blocked. So the far touch line would be below the required lighting standard without the temporary lights.

I'm sure I remember somebody on here saying we've been asked to improve them, but we are reluctant to do so given that the new stand will have new floodlights. BP1960
how do you know it bothered the keepers? Only an observation, but I suspect Kean lost the Swindon goal in flight, it came from that side. Edited February 11, 2015 by BP1960
OAFC_Rob
Don't we have a 100% win ratio with the new floodlights? Keep them haha!

laticsrblue
The team could take advantage by swinging in more high crosses from that side.

Scapegoat
There was an issue mentioned by SC on an interview a while back that our lights weren't up to the job but wanted to avoid temporary addtional costs as we have new lights with the stand. He clearly seems to have been unable to this.

BP1960
Some people.... He was making a fair point, migraine is nothing to make fun of, indeed the Latics H&S officer will have to examine the risks of these low floodlights to the the head and eyes. Remember organisations have been take to court in the past over H&S problems such a high decibel loudspeaker noise impairing hearing. BP1960
FFS They are temporary as someone has said. to overcome difficulties whilst new roof and lights gets sorted. Lets all get a candle and can moan about those. PS take your sunglasses..... I raised a fair H&S point and people moan about it, ironically you have put yourself in the moaners category you complain about. And how do you know if they are temporary? if there's no reaction from fans my bet is they will leave them as they are its a cheap option. nava
For confirmation the temporary floodlights in the new stand are exactly the same hight as the ones in the main stand.
