oafc_lover
On his way out now. This is getting farcical now. Seen posts on here claiming Prem clubs have been looking at him. Does anyone know where he might end up?

Looks increasingly like he is completely asset stripping us and taking every penny before either selling up (maybe Shez leaving is the final straw for him) or putting us into admin and doing a runner? ddot_m
Not to worry, all this money from bizhness dealings can be spent on super duper manager. Although he will have to be a player manager and cover every position on the pitch. Perhaps members of the support could help - I'll go in the net one week, someone else the next. It could be done on a postcode raffle basis. Oldham Athletic Needs You.

If the Everton link is true it would be madness not to let him go on so many levels. Chance of a lifetime for a kid who's not likely to play next season anyway. Chance of a lifetime for a kid who's not likely to play next season anyway. Completely agree. However, knowing Everton were interested in him, should we have let our only other GK go for such a measly sum in today's footballing climate? Given Everton now have a :censored: tonne of cash, would it be stupid of me to expect Corney to grow a back bone and demand a decent fee for a lad they obviously consider to be a huge talent? Wouldn't disagree with any of that. Nothing wrong with forging good relations with a newly minted Premier league club 40 miles away though. oafc_lover
How would he make more money selling the club's assets before selling a the club? Well I don't claim to know how selling a football club works but for example, if Corney puts us on the market at X amount including all assets (playing staff, stadium etc), then he could sell all our players for whatever amount before selling the club for the same X amount. Just because the sale of the club includes all assets doesn't necessarily mean he'll leave any player wise.

mikeroyboy
Wait for all Corneys gimps to come on here telling us how we've never had it so good.1 useless pro Corney gimp + 1 useless anti Corney gimp = 2 useless gimps. I doubt there are 6,000 in or out of town who care what happens to our club. But supporting through the turnstiles is the one thing 'all' gimps can do. Not to mention the three or four thousand who have dropped out over the last 10yrs. Looking for the high ground in what appears to be a tricky situation doesn't point us in the right direction nor attract investment, gimp or not.
