My shallow analysis

Recommended Posts

Is Banks fitness worth monitoring, you really can't monitor desire, the amount of times our front two closed down on Saturday only to find Banks and Klok had dropped deep instead of pushing on was depressing, it destroys strikers when they work there tits off only to turn round and see the rest of the team have dropped deep into there own half, all the best midfielders in the world despite being technically superior very rarely stroll around admiring themselves they work even harder out of possession than they do in, games are not just going to come to us we have to dominate the other team and if they have one or two more quality players who are mentally stronger we have to make up for that by working even harder, Bury was the benchmark for me and that level of intensity is needed every time we step on the pitch otherwise we just won't compete.

All this analytical information is great but if you don't have a real hunger and desire or are mentally strong you may as well chuck it in the bin.

You should know me by now,I'm a dinosaur and believe football is a simple game made difficult by a deluge of unrequired coaches and trendy devices. We are brainwashed into believing we need them, get back to basics. If you think SRs monitoring devices have helped so far please explain how?

Here you go how Leicester City "baffled everyone with science" to win the premier league title.

You're actually going to slate something useful just because it's new? Jesus. Bet you :censored: your pants and trashed your house when they announced goal line technology. Probably should ban referees having those new strange machines that let them speak to their assistants???

TBF they are not exactly new clubs have been using them for years. Just not Latics...who get them just as reports are coming out of America saying they may not be as good as we all think...blinded by technology possibly?

You can have all the bloody science in the world - but you will never make a silk purse out of a sow's ear

No but as the article proves data analysis, sports science can be a major help if you use it properly.

Plenty of players in that Leicester team disprove that theory, Wes Morgan played in the Nottingham Forrest team that was beaten 5-0 by us on new years day 2007 9 years later hes captaining a side to the premier league title
