Bristolatic
Phew, that was close. After winning the first four games, it all came down to Latics_Fanatic scrambling a 1-0 win to keep me above Carl Waters. Well done to rosa for winning the group with that last day 6-0 demolition. 24hoursfromtulsehill
Some interesting results for the league favourites -- your nzlaticses, your disjointeds, your Carl Waterses and your Dave Collinges. It's almost as if they want out of the cup because they can see the real prize coming in to view. Nice work by all concerned.

I know you've been out of the game a while but it's not the noughties anymore.
lookersstandandy
What a result! Attendance figure getting me a vital 3 points to finish 2nd in the group Remarkable really..... you barely scored 2 points per game across your 4 games and qualified. It says a lot about how sh1t Group C was.

24hoursfromtulsehill
Did you just describe Dave Collinge as a league favourite? I know you've been out of the game a while but it's not the noughties anymore. All he needs to do is pin that to the dressing room wall tonight. Wouldn't bet against a big night for the only other amateur and professional Champion. 24hoursfromtulsehill
Seriously though. Dave Collinge is right in this. He's got 96 points, which is probably a touch below par. The leader has 127, which is slightly above par and purely a result of the Robinson Oldham Nil era. When you think how fluid our results will be in the run-in, you've got to favour someone with the track record of tacking and weaving and hammering in the big scores to the faces of those who can't adapt. Like me, Dave Collinge is capable of magic week in week out. It's just a question of how much he wants it, having won everything the game has to offer. 24hoursfromtulsehill
We've all been playing on the same pitch. Fair comment. But as you know only too well, it's all about the last two months. My advice is Collinge is bang in this title race.

youngen
That was tense. Away tie, hoping Latics Pete fills the stadium and doesn't cut ticket prices, we are there for the pay day and the day out. Result is unimportant
Bristolatic
Yet another away game. Been working on the defensive frailties since that 6-0 walloping from rosa, so we'll be going for the win in this one. Need those misfiring strikers to find their early season form again. Ex_pat
What was Rudemedic doing? His original Bury prediction was 0-0 (that would have given him 8 points). He lost to me 2-3 (by my reckoning) after changing his Bury score to 2-1, 11minutes before KO. A lesson here. Always go with your first choice.
