They were not excellent they were good by the standards theyve set this season. Port Vale are the worst team I've seen at Boundary Park this season other than us. Still 0-0... It was in spite of a few players missing chances that we didn't win. Had we won 4-0 (which it could've been) you'd be rejoicing about their performances. Which is what he's supposed to do. First choce up front for me though. That was by far Fane's best performance - could be some player if he's allowed to stretch his legs on a regular basis. Created some clear goalscoring opportunities though. I'd say that warrants an 'excellent performance' tag, especially given the context of his lack of involvement during the season, and the way they parked the bus. He did well keeping Vale under pressure but he didn't excel. He deserves to start next game. As for Holloway, 2 goals in 10?
