Hands on
It is a sobering fact that we have the 11th highest home attendance in league 2. Last season we had the 18th highest in league 1. Generally there is a correlation between attendance and final position, or at least there was in league 1 where we finished close to it year on year. Given the correlation we should finish top half but outside the top 7 but last year the team imploded and we went down. Signs are that things could go the same way this year but lets hope they don't and we do finish 11th.

Yes, FB must be very annoyed Benteke appeared in the penalty area and scored a goal.

To be fair BP, that’s not the point he was making. Plenty of managers get frustrated with players, especially when they proved right. Ie - if only he listened he’d score a lot more. It is one of the things that frustrates me when folks post about Sheridan being such a good manager for us because he kept us up. MOST of the managers in any league keep their team up-it is not an achievement-winning something IS. But you are probably right when you say it is all old hat. This week Pep said City are not good enough to win the Champs League-this is a team a country mile in front of the rest of the Premiership but he still talks expectations down-it seems to be the modern managerial approach. MOST managers aren’t coming in around 9 points behind and turn it around. Very unfair to suggest what shez did those two seasons were nothing short of a Miracle! Smiler13
Most good managers don’t go 10 games and win only 4 points. That’s a cracking Shez record.
