  1. I guessed that would be the case, but seems a bit daft that you cant amend an order once its placed for this exact reason. Or maybe I should pay more attention!
  2. Not sure if I can do anything about this, but I just ordered the away shirt but just realised I ordered it a small rather than a large. I was hoping there would be an 'amend order' option or something but cant see anything. Is there one or will I have to ring up the shop tomorrow?
  3. You know up until a couple of years back, Latics losing on a Saturday ruined my weekend. Now if we lose its disappointing but life goes on. I have just accepted that while we have our current squad and board we arent going to get out of this god awful division. Thats not a critisism of either SC, PD or the players were have....we just are what we are....an average League One side with 15 frickin years in the same division!
  4. A goal 6 mins into your debut isnt a bad start!
  5. I think with squad numbering its not always a case of the players choosing their own numbers. I would imagine merchandising may have some say as a lot of fans who got say '18 TAYLOR' on the back of their shirt wouldnt want him to change his number as it makes it out of date. I know this is the case a lot of bigger clubs.......but then it would be a good marketing ploy by the club to get people to buy a new shirt
  6. Or maybe its not McDonald after all. 2+2=5 and all that.
  7. Scott McNiven was pretty small wasnt he? Remember the genius that was Mick Wadsworth playing him at centre back away at Bristol City once. Surprisingly he didnt win a single header all game.
  8. Wasnt Delroy Facey a bit of a porker as well? Or maybe he was just short and stocky? Same thing if you ask me.
  9. If i recall correctly he was on trial but flapped at crosses or was glued to his line. We opted for Chris Day instead who was a master at both.
  10. Dave Penney had one when it was spotted that one of our full backs crossed the half way line
  11. I think players are starting to realise, especially lower down the leagues, that clubs dont have big bucks floating about now to pay over inflated wages. The reality is is that a lot of players now are worried that they may drop out of the game because clubs just simply cant afford them. But still fair play to him for agreeing reduced terms and wanting to play, and well done to Dickov for not being held to ransom. I still reckon he could do a job for us if he can get himself fit. Important pre-season for him though.
  12. Darren Beckford's winner at Burnden Park in FA Quarter Final against Bolton. I really believed at that point that we had a great chance of winning something......finally. No need to explain what happened after
  13. I think it really depends how ST sales go. If they are half decent then maybe only 1 out of the 3 will leave, with the assumption that it will be Stephens. If they ST sales are crap then i expect 2 if not all of them to be sold at some point during the season. Still i dont think the club are daft enough to sell either Taylor or Furman (Dale will leave and we are prepared for that), while trying to increase ST sales. SC must weigh up the pro's and con's of cashing in on our best players and it goes back to the age old scenario where only quality on the pitch and results will increase attendances, but how can we get that by constant selling our best players. Its a tough call of SC and kind of think he will lose out either way. By the way, are Bury due a percentage of Stephens's sell on fee? If so this could be a good negotiating tool for us to get a bit more for him.
  14. It depends what the club consider as a good enough offer. Alan Hardy conceded on Late Kick Off that the club arent in a position to turn down 'reasonable offers' for players. If the prices quoted are true then I think the club will accept them. Not saying i agree with the fees, but that is the harsh reality of where we are at the moment. The way we gave up on trying to get a decent fee for an International (be it only Wales) like Neal Eardley showed all i needed to know about what 'reasonable offers' are.
  15. I just brought FM2011 and playing as Latics. I never knew how realistic it could be, but Feeney is crap and cant hit a barn door in the game either. Hats off to the researcher for getting his abilities spot on.
  16. I was watching the goals from the Football League show and Feeney looked at the ground almost despair when his fellow countryman and young kiddy Carl Winchester slammed home his first league goal showing the alleged international how it should be done! Paul Warne was never a techinically gifted player, and certainly wasnt a striker but even he popped up with a goal every now and then. Fenney just never looks like scoring.
  17. Exeter was our biggest f**k up but the biggest turning point was the Carlisle away and home game. That is where i saw the belief officially drain out of us..........still in Dickov we trust
  18. He will snooker himself in the end though
  19. It wont make a blind bit of difference to Orient who plays there. They have their hardcore and loyal support just like we do so i dont think attendances will suffer that much either, especially when you consider that due to its proximity to Brisbane Road, its very unlikely Orient and West Ham/Spurs will be at home of the same weekends.
  20. Its not as simple as riding out the storm and giving him time. Look at Ronniesaurus for instance. The football was dire but its possible that he may well have got us up in the end, but the financial implications of giving him more time would have been disasterous when you consider season ticket sales, match day income etc. If we start off next season serving up the same drivel we have during this run then attendances will drop further. I would hasten to add that season tickets will be down on last season as well. Fans have short memories, and many will overlook the great football we played in the early part of the season, and just remember what has happened recently. Its not just our club that is unique in this either. Whether you or I believe Dickov should have 1 year, 5 years, 10 years makes not a patch of difference. Fans and money through the turnstile will dictate that.
  21. I like Dickov and for the most the first 6 months of the season he was like a breath of fresh air but the figures dont lie. This run has been truly appaling and like has been mentioned in the end we have been lucky to have stayed up, and who would have thought that after the Hartlepool home game? Whatever the reasons for it, managers in the past have been sacked for far less than what Dickov has, and imo he is very lucky to still be in the job. Had this of been a few seasons earlier ie in place of Shez, Moore, Penney etc, he would either have been sacked by now or certainly would not have had his contract renewed (he still might not). Yes at times the football has been great but its pretty much 50/50 to complete garbage. I think Dickov should stay and see what he can do in the summer and at least till Christmas of next season. If we start off next season how we finished this one, SC (if he is still here) will have to seriously consider Dickov's position. I really do hope that he gets it right as I think he has the makings of a good manager, but the one thing I wish he would change is to bring in an experienced head alongside him. Neither he nor Taggart have that experience and I think during this run it shows!
  22. Really? Taylor for the most part seems totally lost in the middle. He's far better suited to being on the wing and we are a better team for him being there.
  23. You forget, we dont do scoring. It will be all about trying to grind out enough 0-0 draws between now and the end of the season to keep us safe. Dave Penney would be proud.
