That was exactly my point a couple of weeks ago. We didn't really need to have a full team together for the opening day, let alone the first friendly. Would we have really done any worse in the opening month playing the kids than we did with the rabble he signed? It was a difficult situation to come in to but they completely panicked. He should have been patient and used the full window to try and get better quality players. If we'd have lost every game in August then so be it, it's a long old season (as shown by us somehow still being in touch with those above) but the trouble is, his joke signings have left us in dire straights for the second half of the season, when it really matters.
