in fairess posh couldnt defend set pieces that day and 1 came from a penalty we had about 3 efforts on goal from open play today and our strikers just dont look convincing.

what's the point of trying to build something not viable?? I do agree that the player merry go round is a joke but im not sure what we can do we get poor attendance's try and put a squad together and over the course of a season the wheels seem to come off and we slip down the division... then I think whoever is in charge gets panicky and we try wheeling and dealing our way of a relegation scrap. as for the prem lost interest years ago... the greedy league is an apt name for it

thats the problem with most of our kids, be it millar, winchester or brown they have talent but not the consistency. CB is the most likely to make it to a regular first team spot but its touch and go at times. Im not a fan of his hes a liability with the ball but of late he seems to be growing a bit in confidence and not panicking as much he did very very well when he came but he needs to do this week in week out

who ever it is it needs to be someone who fits in with the way the team player - by all accounts Rooney thrived of crosses into the box as a team we don't get the ball out wide fast enough and don't have the wingers to get quality balls into the box so he was never going to get the service he needed/wanted and the rest of his game. Touch, heading (never seen a player go up for a header leaning backwards not moving his feet so much as AR) was poor. So we either need a target man who can bring others into play to allow other players to join the attack so we attack in numbers Or if we have some like Harkin who can spot a pass and play a great through ball then someone like Derbyshire who has a bit of speed and can finish 1 on 1

Which is one thing LJ said he wouldn't do play sqauare pegs in round holes DP is a striker and he's scored a few goals this season but now hes being played out wide. His attributes don't suggest he is a winger so why play him there - frustrating I still think Johnson is trying to do the right things but we do seem to be chopping and changing too much and I am not sure what Harkins will bring to the table - ability on the ball but I don't think hes a goal scorer and playing him behind the striker leaves us short up top as we don't have a dominant target man or the pace to support them if we win the ball in the opposition half

Strange game with a bit more luck they might have won it. Was PM cross/shot over the line? First half they were getting down the flanks well but they didnt have the quality of delivery to really trouble us. PM did everything right but too often his final ball was lacking so he hasnt imrpoved any. 2nd half Mellor really played against him well and the threat was snuffed out. How bad was thier number 24 when he came on??? dire. Even though we were well on top 2nd half we still didnt create many chances Defense were largely OK one the full backs got to grips with the wingers. Did Grounds loose a header or tackle today? Tarky wonderd into a 3 on 1 siuation which was a bit stupid and gave thier guy a free header first half but did the rest of his defensive duties well enough. DP is wasted on the wings. Petrasso looked a threat when we got him in the game but it didnt happen enough JCH as bad a performance as you will see from a forward - shouldnt have lasted as long as he did Harkin some nice touches but often it was one too many - does offfer something different Wes - Outstanding - passing wasnt always geat but a real terrior in the middle and Korey did his usual cover every blade of grass job.

If we could get same volume at home bp would be a ruff place to come rather than a graveyard. how did u think the team did? Nah play our strongest team. Hes ok Anton bit light weight he can come on to sure up thw midfield if we need it.

Does a good job at right back but hes a center back all day long. May just be the best defender at the club

in faireness rooney has been a dissapointment his all round game just isnt there. He goes for a header and leans backwards. His balance is woeful as well nearly always on his arese. I wouldnt say hes been disastrous he has scored a few goals but he just doesnt look like he should be the teams first choice stiker and in fairness LJ has seen that fairly quickly. Im still not convinced Millar does anything more a little bit more pace perhaps but o so lightweight and offers even less than Rooney in the air. His work rates decent but thats about it.

as the squad gets thinner i reckon we can see some square pegs in round holes If we didnt have JCH back i would almost suggest chucking a center half up front as Rooney doesnt win enough in the air

Needs to learn to run at the full back use a trick if he needs one then deliver the ball to often he pulls a step over on the half way line gets in the last 3rd stops or puts in a crap ball pace to burn and bag of tricks but doesnt hurt teams enough also needs to calm down when ball comes to him in the box ive seen him kick fresh air too many times this season that said he is young a pace at this level can be so destructive - time for him yet but hes frustrating at times

god that's tuff id still give it him tho as his effort is better than Brits - do like Barkers volley tho
