  1. I ask myself "Why did I do it?" - I'll never get that click back... Oh well, another 0.000003p (or whatever it is) for Latics I suppose...
  2. Yeah and there's nothing in the article about free tickets or a pie or anything. Where's the incentive? I blame TTA blah, blah, blah...
  3. ...and the only statistic that's needed in a football match is the result: Swindon 4 Latics 2. All the bar charts and pie charts and :censored: is pointless - like us last night...
  4. I agree. Yes, it's not required/blah blah blah etc.. But it's good to get some acknowledgement of the effort a lot of fans would have put in to get there on a midweek match in Swindon. Also, maybe some people on here need to argue with the point not the poster.
  5. You're showing your age there pal*... I was so gutted not to get on OWTB I had to go on the official site (which I HATE with a vengeance)... The news there was OWTB wouldn't be back til Sat'day. With the thought of a full day's work ahead of me, I don't know how I slept last night... WB OWTB WS! * Pining for the fiords!
  6. That's like the new trams in Seattle that travel from the downtown area to south of Lake Union were supposed to be called... South Lake Union Trolley. Some people made t-shirt with the slogan Ride The S.L.U.T. http://www.seattlepi.com/local/332081_slut18.html
  7. I don't think anyone's posted about that. I wondered about if they had stayed in the original "First Oldham game" thread http://www.owtb.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...40&start=40 ...but no response so far. Think he was from Florida.
  8. I just saw FMS call it Project Failsworth but, bearing in mind it's TTA's exit strategy, I think "Project Runaway" is more apt...
  9. No offence mate but, from what I've seen, weather forecasts are accurate within about 3 days. I'll check back in on Sunday. (I'm sounding more and more like "zeros" every day!)
  10. Which article was he/she commenting on? I couldn't find it.
  11. BA? British Airways own the land? It should be BAe or to the newbies BAE. No offence Carl, I'm just filling in for Terry/DS while he and Mrs S. go look at the proposals!
  12. Well, I'm glad you're against it (even though it's looking inevitable). I've found the ones on here in favour of the move a bit too heavy-handed in the criticism of those against it. And the "pro-movers" seem to think they are in the majority, which led me to coin the phrase the "silent majority" some time ago. I may have assumed you were in the "pro-movers" group so apologies for that. I agree it's crucial to get the facts before making judgements but, without trying to excuse the scaremongering, people grow impatient and start to speculate etc. - typical message board behaviour I suppose! Like many who are faced with change, I think I am denial of it (even though I only get to the matches a few times a year!) and I have to accept that my dream (like yours) of a re-vamped BP is not happen going to happen. I wasn't offended by your comments but thanks for the follow up. If you get chance to post what you've found out today that'd be great. 3 trips back to the UK last year (and not one home match at Xmas/NY due to the weather!) means I won't be turning up today!
  13. Cheers, I saw that on the BBC web site but assumed it would be restricted to UK viewers only... I tried your link and it wasn't!
  14. "Reports of a mystery man driving away from Edgeley Park in a fire engine in the early hours of Tuesday morning remain unconfirmed...."
  15. I see Mark Hughes's volley sailing over the bar in 1994... The referee blows the final whistle and we celebrate like we've won the cup itself! Celebrations go on long into the night... Oh, am I on the wrong thread again?
  16. Great, then I look forward to your unbiased review of the proposals after tomorrow then. Anyway, I can't see a big turn out of moaners tomorrow. Their leader has been hounded off these forums into exile... (that or forced to reinvent himself with a more cryptic "nom de plume", if you believe the conspiracy theorists around here...) and one of his main acolytes has retired/been forced to resort to "lurking"!
  17. Then Penny (sic) has to win the next one or he's out etc. etc. ad. inf....
  18. Hmm... Does that rant make you a hard core moaner? That's at least one then. When you get the "facts" from the "horses mouth" can you post them on here cos some of us (hard core moaners/concerned lifelong fans*) are geographically-challenged and, to paraphrase your signature, have to make do with moaning on the message board instead of going. * delete as applicable What's the view like from up there on your moral high ground?
  19. It's not raining here in the Pacific North West...
  20. For all those who were pished off at making a pointless journey from different parts of the UK on Saturday... Wonder if he changed his flight and stayed for the Stockport match?
  21. So did I, when Latics played there - that place was dire. But Hull doesn't have X number of Premier League clubs within Y miles of the ground. Corp, I mean George, do me a favour and fill in the X and Y would you? I'm at work at the mo...
  22. He probably wanted to be reset to 'Brian "Killer" Kilcline' and who wouldn't? Oh, and keep your eyes out for a "reborn" oafc000 - he'll be back too...
  23. Nah... there's not enough in his posts about the economy and Marxism...
