  1. I think the fan with the longest pro-TTA signature should be given first refusal...
  2. Yes, it's shocking here and the only thing stopping it getting worse is the "first time buyer's tax incentive". The govt. had to extend it once to prevent the housing market collapsing further.
  3. Yeah, remember it well... We were sat next to Norwich fans who couldn't get in the home end.
  4. Is that you Matt/StevieJ? Anyway, great stuff!! Just what we need right now. I apologise in advance if anyone thinks I'm "blowing smoke up your ar$e"
  5. "I'll have 5 players from the top league and 5 from the bottom league please" Sorry couldn't resist it...
  6. Being top or near the top of the league doesn't always lead to big increases in attendances. When we were in the top 3 all season in the old 2nd Div (1986-87 season) our attendances didn't increase much. It was the cup runs and media exposure (combined with Italia 90 and all that) that brought the crowds in.
  7. Peter Taylor's Bradford win at Rochdale. Is that one of those shocks that just are part and parcel of the season? I remember when we lost to bottom club Hull in our "championship" winning season. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/e...v_3/8497096.stm
  8. They also decided that they only want (mostly) Canadian fans at the events... We bought tickets for 2 events: one off the "Fan-to-Fan" official tout web site when there were tickets available by phone but NOT on the web. (I only found out cos I had to call about a problem I had buying the rip-off tickets). 2nd event we bought off a tout recommended by our hotel. In addition, the lack of information available in Vancouver was shocking. It's a joke, things pished me off so much so we found ourselves cheering for the Yanks on Sunday in a bar/restaurant full of Canucks. When that 5th goal went in it was sweet and the place emptied!
  9. What about a "Don't know" option?
  10. Agreed, isn't it off Fulham Palace Road long before it crosses Putney Bridge?
  11. Agree with that - I know an 18 year old Man U fan who lives in Hollinwood and HATES the fact that he was born in Oldham. He wishes his birth certificate had "Manchestoh" on it.
  12. Sorry to hear about your loss Terry. I lost my mum last August so I know how you will be feeling. My condolences to you and your family. As someone else said you'll have great memories - try and think about those.
  13. I hear you there mate. " only a silent majority of fans prefer to be closer to the traditional home" There you go "Harry" I've fixed it for you...
  14. I can see him "lurking" now - he's dieing to hit "Reply" but he's only just managed to get the computer working... ...and Corporal Jones has just got back from the shops and he's got two bricks in his hand... Apologies to the screenwriter of "Misery"
  15. Me too. I remember Leeds did something similar to Andy Goram and (as usual) we copied it forever after that.
  16. I can see the NIMBYs reaching for their pitchforks from here!
  17. Cos it's obvious they don't need to - they have a secret man love of Denzel Washington. See article a few posts earlier...
  18. Per my regular internet viewing pattern, I read the Chron Online this afternoon (PST) before logging in here and I thought "Bloody hell they'll be on suicide watch on OWTB"! But all is calm... So all that Chron 'stuff" is nothing to worry about then?
  19. I disagree - I think that article sums up this poll/thread. Edit: I came back and voted to keep our % of racist sc*m low.
  20. What if you're "ex-pat"? Northern hemisphere? Northern part of the country of residence?
  21. Don't use that as a comparison Terry or you'll have someone claiming that standing sections = League 2 club = lack of ambition...
  22. Well, the chances of that are *cough* pie in the sky... Oh dear.
  23. Really? Wow, when I opened this thread I was expecting to read "This issue is dead and buried. Next question."
