  1. Cant help feel Fane is lucky to have kept his place but im all for the changes made!
  2. This. On the list of priorities I know its not really up there but if we could have the old badge or a better designed one that would be nice. This current one seems too cartoony and i've never really warmed to it. Maybe not for next season but going forward it's something i'd like to see be re-visited.
  3. Sadly VAR is unavoidable in todays game. Theres so much money riding on modern football now something like this was always on the cards. I could go in to a long rant about how i feel about the state of the game and how it's all a reflection of modern society but i'll save you my ramblings.
  4. Ive had a read of the 1st(i think it was the 1st) book. It was a while ago, and for as good an insight it was, i found whoever it is thats written them to come across as a bit of a knob. Cant remember exactly why i get that feeling but it remains. I think it was something along the lines of the fans are clueless and being quite dismissive of us. Dont get me wrong some fans are complete tools but i reckon a fair few have a good view on the game and share good analysis. If you watch football for as long, and as much as possible, as a fair few do you'll get a decent understanding of whats right and whats not. On top of there are those who will have played at a decent non-league level. His argument, i think, was along the lines of fans should keep quiet and pay there money as they have no idea of what we do. Might be wrong though, its been a while like i said.
  5. I may not have been paying attention but where did 8 minutes added on come from? Dont recall any lengthy stoppages second half.
  6. Wonder how the new Efl deal with Sky will affect Ifollow.
  7. Without trawling back through the thread, was the video feed fine last week for those that used it? Not too fussy about the audio if thats not working.
  8. On the club website they are saying the stream reached an audience of 1.1 million people Saturday!!! What sorcery is this?
  9. Beyond Good and Evil 2 looks interesting. Looks similar to No Mans Sky in terms of scope and potential size of playing area (whole planets to traverse and travel in to space) and seems to be a bit more populated with a bit of personality. I do have my reservations though as to how much filler will be in a game of this size! One to watch...
  10. Cant really add too much more than whats already been said in some cracking tributes so far. Rest easy big man. RIP
  11. What a cynical attempt by whoever that is to try and make it seem that the sole season the U20's have been in the comp has done the trick. You just know others are going to run with this too as evidence it works. What absolute horse shit.
  12. In fairness the Tories aren't doing so great themselves!
  13. Agree with that post. I may add to this bit though that I think the Premier League clubs would already know there's not much money it for them, beyond the development of players for their 1st teams or selling them on for profit, so I dont think this would be a consideration for them. Hypothetically if this is what the greedy league and FA are going to try at some point, to try and get B teams in the league structure, I can't help feel the whole thing is self-defeating. Obviously the main reason for them wanting this is to test their kids in a much more intense environment than they currently get. However that intensity would gradually erode over time as people would stop giving a shit. So you would end up with something no one wants. I cant understand the wish to mess with probably the best league structure in the world for something that would fail in the long run (sure i've read the German leagues are thinking of scrapping their B teams as they no longer see a benefit). Feel free, anyone, to correct me if im wrong but i think our tier 2,3,4, hell all tiers outside tier 1 (even itself sometimes the best attended football league) are the best attended in comparison to any other countries corresponding tiers (if they have as many). Souless games against these B teams, home and away, will suck the life out of the remaining competition. Greedy league- Either loan players out to clubs now as you currently do or stop hoarding so many fucking players you need this B team nosense in the first place. Possibly a bit over dramatic for something thats currently "off the table" but its a worry and the current state of the EFL Trophy is just the canary down the mine.
  14. Disappointed with the club (and any other clubs who voted in favour) on this. Yes money is welcome but such short term thinking could prove the lower leagues downfall in years to come as others on here have well explained.
  15. Think we sold out? I remember not being able to get a ticket and watching it in the RRE on a big screen with no sound or score graphic. Remember for ages during the game thinking we'd equalised with a Wayne Andrews goal (that was either not given for a foul or it looked like it went in). Sad times ha.
  16. That wouldn't be too bad then. Especially if you get the free month and just cancel with no fee when you get home.
  17. I wonder if it will be possible to pay per game when abroad? Just thinking of the times people go abroad during the season and will have access to wifi (which is more and more these days) to watch any games you might miss while being away. Or will it be 110 quid all in!
  18. I think it's also something to do with Sky wanting to be able to give each league's final day individual coverage hence the noon kick off (Super Sunday is on). IIRC it happened last year too but i think all football league fixtures finished on the same weekend.
  19. Yeah I know what you mean. I bought Ghost Recon as it come out, thought it was pretty good, enjoyed the feeling of completing complicated missions (there being a number of obstacles in a base for example). Felt accomplished once id done them. Not been on it for a bit though. Ive now got Andromeda. Its good, and I happily say buy it. It feels like it's lacking something though from the first trilogy and I cant put my finger on what!
  20. From there I would say a taxi is your best bet. Shouldnt cost too much, would like to think under £10, and easier than a bus. As for restraunts, Mazzos (Italian) is nice in Royton and the Ancora (another Italian) is okay and is on the way back to your hotel from the ground. Both only open in the evening though (I may be wrong). If you fancy an Indian theres plenty decent ones around. If your fairly casual about it I suppose your best bet is to ask people in the White Hart Saturday and go from there.
  21. Great news. On the very slim chance we could get Ripley again this would surely help towards that. From what I've seen he has quite a good rapport with Clarke (and now Gerrard).
  22. Will the local policing budget sit with the Mayor or is that with the crime commissioner?
  23. Good idea! 1-3 are self contained in terms of choices you make in the earlier games affecting the outcome in the 3rd. I think Andromeda is set to be it's own thing in the same universe (with some link to the previous games). Funny you should mention how much your liking how your actions have consequences. I wont spoil anything but I'll be interested to see what you think at the conclusion of the 3rd game.
  24. You played the Mass Effect games before Rummy?
