  1. I don't know if it has already been mentioned on this thread, and I can't see any news article on the OS, but for those wanting a new home shirt apparently the current date (hopefully, according to the store assistant) is the 28/08/14. It was due to be 14/08 when it was released.
  2. Just thinking on the space left behind by the club shop. Depending on the refurbishment of the main stand (if/when it happens) could maybe use it as another bar for fans before an after games? Not sure what demand would be for two bars but worth a shout.
  3. I provided my email but wasn't told thats how we would be recieving our T&C's off of Zebra. Checked my email (junk too) and cant see anything on or after last Tuesday, when we signed up, off of Zebra. Anyone else still waiting? Not too concerned as we have a ticket stub to collect the new ticket and the guy took our bank details down so there should be some proof. Just interested to hear off others.
  4. Obviously it's no guarantee that will happen but its the most likely out come. If not all 10 but a good chance of 5 of them. Here's a very real scenario that could happen. Arsenal B are in league 1. Last game of the season. They have not had the greatest of seasons and are fighting relegation alongside ourselves (as usual!). This year their under 22's, or whatever the age limit is, that have played all season have been crap. Arsenal A as usual are comfortably qualified in 4th place and nothing to play for (as usual). Arsenal A decide to send a couple of their 1st teamers (and they normally have a couple under 22) for example ones like Walcott and Chamberlain (not sure on their current ages). Now im not sure loans still apply at this stage of the season but if they do then these are players we could never dream of getting in on loan ourselves currently in such a situation. Reading how it works elsewhere I dont think the movement of these players between A and B will be classed as a loan adding further insult to injury if loans aren't allowed for teams like ourselves at this point. Arsenal B go on to win, with goals from Walcott and Chamberlain, and regardless of our winning result we go down. Arsenal B with their regular squad were much more likely to lose and thus go down. People may say we deserved to go down for a crap season. But when it is so heavily influenced by these particular players rather than say a regular team being in the role of Arsenal B and that team staying up on the merit of the squad at its disposal its unfair and i would feel cheated. It's a specific example but one that has happened in a similar vein in Germany at least once that i have just read about and no doubt other times too in other countries.
  5. Lets not forget the true highlight of the game: the rather funny attempt by the Carlisle ball boy to catch a high ball, have it rebound off his outstretched arms full on into his face and then fall completely flat on his back. In front of us lot too!
  6. Easily one of the biggest disappointments this year Orient being on a Tuesday night. Lets hope such a travesty doesn't take place again!
  7. Never said hi to him but recognise him from away games. All the best mate!
  8. Just realised. How early can April fools jokes be placed?
  9. £90?????? Are they :censored:ing serious????
  10. I've heard a rumour that Frankfurt have been talked with over it. Not sure its a by-product of the other ones that have suggested we might be playing them in a pre-season friendly anyway at some point. Either way they get my vote with the proviso that we go play them in Frankfurt and have it alternate annually between ours and theirs.
  11. Me an my uncle from the main stand upper was thinking about going in the Chaddy but decided against it. Definitely going in the RRE next week into the singing section along with some others.
  12. I'm getting one. Always will do (barring any money trouble). Couldn't give a fig who's in charge of the team/club (not saying i'm unhappy with the current manager/owner). Or how :censored: the football is. I don't want to do anything else on a Saturday. Equally, though, I understand anyone's reason for not getting one whether it's financial, disgruntlement at current setup/way the club is run or any other reason. Don't see the need to hound people for not having one. We're all Latics at the end of the day.
  13. I'd be up for that as i was thinking of going both but didn't realise the same weekend!
  14. I've played alongside Will Buckley just as last season ended. Can't say i noticed much of his football ability to make me think 'wow' (then again I wouldn't think he would try too hard in what was an 8 a side kick about). The main difference was how much more easily he made ground and covered it. This reminds me of a bit of wishful thinking that i have from time to time and that's i'd love to have a chance at playing in a full 11 a side game against the best team/best players in the world. Just to fully appreciate the skill levels they play at (not saying i don't in some way now). Those that played in the staff v fans game commented on how impossoble it was to get the ball off Lee Johnson. Imagine how unreal it would be against the likes of Messi. Frightening to think of. Not some peoples idea of fun but it would be interesting!
  15. Is it pay on the day? Todays article about Crewe tickets on the OS doesn't mention you can.
  16. I think the OP is only joking. Wooosh
  17. Oh definitely but as i say when you have been assured not to worry you will get seats, coaches will be put on till the deadline regardless of how many are needed, it shouldn't matter when you book? If you set a deadline, by its very nature, some people will book near to it.
  18. After telling people they will be able to book til midday today without fear of coaches selling out (this was implied by being told they would just keep booking coaches till the deadline and have one coach left for any surplus) sure enough midway through the morning they sell out and can't order any more. I'm not one to have a go at the club but this has pissed a fair few off having to make last minute arrangements. Not the end of the world but better communication along the lines of 'we might sell out so get here earlier/book sooner/get back up plans' rather than make it seem so cast iron coach spaces would be available. In relation to your post i wouldn't hold your breath. We are so :censored: in customer service at times it's laughable.
  19. I don't know if i was still drunk from getting in at 5:30 am but i swear i saw someone go into the Chaddy with a Macdonalds! One did anyone else notice him? And two are you allowed to bring in outside food? Barring the odd crisp packet or pack of sweets i'd of thought the club frowned on this?
  20. In terms of where it might go in the ground, as others have said, i think it might be the Chaddy End. Most likely be done if/when the Chaddy is renovated as planned sometime after the new stand goes up!
  21. About bloody time is all i'll say. Sad what happened at Hillsborough but standing itself wasn't the cause and seems silly to use that as the excuse to not re-introduce it!
  22. £12 if there's any places left. Best bet would be to go in tonight and see.
