  1. Went tp Bradford FA Cup reply about 85/6/ Bloody freezing and snowing 5 - 0 down at HT. I stayed but my mate left after the stewards eventually relented and let him out. Got out just in time to see two little tykes driving his car down Manningham (?) Road . Happy days
  2. I posted on here pre season that a reasonable target to go up would be 85 points - 25 wins, 10 draws and 11 defeats. Looking at where the points would have to come from I reckoned 10 points from those first 6 games would be promotion form. The 3 home wins and a draw at Tranmere with defeats at Leeds and Clochester. So far 6 points ahead of where we should be.
  3. Ha ha, excellent! Anymore smartarse comments like that and you will be asked to sit down before posting or made to do it from a specially designated forum!
  4. it is very good. had me thinking for a few seconds.
  5. He is back to his best and when he's playing like that he doesn't seem to have the need to do the stupid things, like arguing and getting into scraps. I also think the 60 yard shot was deliberate. A lot of people have been praised on here tonight, quite rightly, Greegs, Eardley, the superb Whittaker and many others. But a word for Lomax. I've said on here before that i didn't think he was good enough but he didn't let us down at LB last season and has proved me wrong this. Well done Kelv, keep it up.
  6. thanks Exile well spotted. Seems like I wasn't too far out with my recollection apart from the fact I couldn't remember that i'd posted on the topic myself!
  7. Weren't we linked with him in the summer? i'm sure there was much discussion on here about his worth and seem to recall the general view of the cogniscenti was that he was a) crap and b. not a full bob. That could have been someone else we were linked with though!
  8. wasn't it Eardleys he saved i thought OGrady just missed or wasn't i paying attention? the one diving to his right which he saved with his lefthand was stunning
  9. yes I would agree but not as naive as the Newcastle fans who expected him to stick at it. TBH i'm amazed he stayed as long as he did. We will now have to put up with them telling us what a great club it is and how Big Al is going to turn them around. Think they've got a permanent loan on that big top from City now
  10. I knew I knew I knew honest. Still fell for it though. Cheeky monkey
  11. they bought Iwelumo last week and Shackell today. They are supposedly after someone from PNE, so hopefully that is it.
  12. The BBC are joining in now 1430: The latest from Man City - and I have to say that they are fast becoming the club of the day. BBC Sport understands that a £30m bid has indeed been made for Dimitar Berbatov, while the club are in talks with Valencia's David Villa and Stuttgart's Mario Gomez. This is getting silly!
  13. wouldn't you just love to see Sir Grumpy's face! it'd be like a bulldog chewing a wasp. Oh hang on, it's like that anyway.
  14. and according to 5live they are rumoured to be after Berbatov!
  15. I wonder which mastermind organised a training course for coaches/managers on transfer deadline day? It will be just like my days at junior school where i used to hide a radio under the desk to listen to the cup draw or the test match. Every body will have their phones on silent but will be texting offers all over the place.
  16. 2 points a game (92) would be fantastic and probably see us up by easter and champions at the end. I posted before the season that 85 points should get us up and I allocated how many points we needed to get from each game to achieve that. Obviously Millwall and Chelts were wins but I calculated for Leeds and Colchester away to be 2 of the games we are able to lose. That means 4 points up after 4 games which i think is brilliant. Next week in the calculation is a point at the dippers.
  17. My view which i know might be bollocks Crossely- 7/10 Was kept reasonably busy first half I thought. One very good save at 2-0 and good distribution. Wish he would come off his line for crosses a bit more but that seems to be old school thinking nowadys. Eardley- 6 Did ok faced with a decent winger.Fabulous cross for third goal Gregan- 7 Very good, Very strong. Looked like Makeelele at times 2nd half! Hayles got well pissed off. Thought the ref dealt with him well. Hazell- 6 ok Improving from the Millwall debacle Lomax- 7 Played well, why do we need another left back? He is definatley good enough. AGREE Fabulous left footed cross for 2nd goal Liddell- 6 Gives shape at times and does cover. Wishhe would stay a bit wider some times. Whittaker-8.5 Very good. Half macca half Wellens. Plays well with Allot/Maher. Allott- 7 Did well!As Whittaker Taylor- 8 Pleased with him today got closed down for the first 25 minutes and managed to work out what was going on and sorted it out. Godd second half when the space was there.H Hughes- 9.5 Fabulous perfomance the guy is far too good fro this league Alessandra- 8.5 Links well with Hughes and has come on in leaps and bounds. Could be our best ever youth product Brill prformance. Cheltenham were no mugs and we ran them ragged after the first 30 minutes, KTF
  18. Isn't Moussa the young lad that Maher alledgedly twatted which is why they fired him off?
  19. Kyle - someone on here a couple of weeks ago recommended the cottage pies and I had my first today. you've got to go for it mate. they are sublime!
  20. you were getting too giddy Bob jimmy Wagg said only team in League One with 100% record How's the weather?
  21. Agree we have so few. But it was good today when the game was dead at 3-0 that a few of them got their own song and they appreciated it you could tell, Crossley was dead chuffed. What are we going to do for Kelvin and /or Lomax?
  22. I know i know i was trying to branch out a bit. Also not able to tihnk up a song for Lewi Forgive me !!!!!
