    RIP Gordon, a lovely friendly guy and great ambassador for our club.

    True. But he is a lot closer to his playing weight now after well more than a decade after retiring than Gerrard was at the end of April.

    When I spoke to Andy Barlow a few weeks ago, he was scathing in his assessment of Gerrard and his lack of fitness. But maybe he doesn't like football.

    I totally agree, only been there once and swore I would never go back. A local derby (I seriously dislike Blackburn) is better,but a nice weekend in Nottingham appeals.

    Been an emotional day Harry? A bit OTT but you make some valid points,I've also noticed this tendency towards a "we know our place" attitude. As you say, the drip drip drip of being told to accept we can't afford to aspire to something better does erode belief over time. "Tug your forelock and accept the perceived wisdom of your benefactors? Hopefully a sea change is beginning.

    I too remember that goal at Ewood ,Goalkeeper (Brown?) just getting his fingertips on it as it went over his head. But it wasn't from his own half though.It was brilliant because so many of us recall it even today.

    I too used to have real problems with Player, but I have to admit that it works a lot better since they upgraded it a couple of years back.

    I spoke to Simon Cornet in burgerking, simply asked if he was slumming it!

    I must admit that I don't know if i am a trust member or not, they took my money off paypal plus I also notified them of my season ticket details but neither action elicited any confirmation or acknowledgement. I have never received any e-mails or any other communication.

    One small silver lining is that all our players on 4 bookings are now safe from suspension for the moment.
