    A lot of clubs did play on Wednesday, but Tuesday was half day closing in Oldham so naturally we played Tues.

    We had 3 players who are usually right fullbacks on the pitch 2nd half today,with Brown not even getting on the field. At least that's one position with cover!

    Checked this out using Stewart W Becket's excellent book "Pine Villa & Oldham Athletic -A 100 year journey", It was August 2nd 1972 and we lost 0-1.

    Really sad news! I remember Jim at away matches, making time to bring complimentary tickets to the travelling fans at places like Swansea Town and Bristol Rovers. Good man, Great manager.

    Warren Feeney scored in one game, away in the FA cup in the defeat against Accrington.(Winiesta's debut!) Came off the bench as I recall.

    Yes he is still around,I sometimes see him in Uppermill on Friday night with his mate Woody. I don't know if he ever gets to games these days, I certainly haven't seen him at any away games this season.

    Jones's body language has been off for a while now. He didn't even smile or celebrate his last goal, in fact he was making calm down gestures with his hands when his team mates surrounded him to congratulate him.

    The first game I took the ex wife to was the 0-5 thrashing of Sheffield Utd, She expected every game to be like that and was soon disillusioned and disenchanted.
