Hardly any teams back up a giant killing with a win in their next league game. The Missile, Branger and Lang to mention a few will all be knackered given the amount of running they put in yesterday. No Surridge and likely no Lyden means this will be very tough

Points of Note: With Hunt & Missilou on the bench, we had more of a 'technical' team out than usual. This along with the less intense nature of the game enabled us to play a lot more football and keep the ball on the deck a lot more. Hamer is looking a big lad, he's filling out his frame and looking faster. He's far better with the ball at his feet than Hunt and Graham and should be starting or at worst the first choice when making a defensive substitution. He could make a hell of a lot of progress this season if given game time. Maouche looked like a rolls royce. If he could take this into a blood and thunder league match he'd be playing every week. Changes direction very quickly and passes forward when it's on. It was noticeable he would point and direct the other midfielders around. You feel he needs at least 4 or 5 continuous league games to see how he does and then we'd all know one way or the other if he is up to it or not. The 90 minutes will do Lang the world of good. Loved how chuffed he was to score and the way the players celebrated with him was nice to see. He's more skillful than Surridge, just not as direct. Lyden is a Lee Cattermole type, will he stay fit because Missilou will find himself on the bench if so. Surridge is a goal machine. Loves to run with the ball and while he never seems to do anything spectacular, he just scores. Really hope Bournemouth don't do to us what Wolves did to Coventry with Nazon.

Wait for it.......I’d go and try for Connor Wilkinson. Can’t catch at Gillingham. Easily better than what we’ve got apart from Surridge. Point is, to do well you should have players that would strengthen other teams. Surridge aside there isn’t anyone in our midfield or attack that the likes of Lincoln would want

A million times this. Ollie Banks playing in a two is apparently the best player every week for Tranmere and he’s the softest centre mid I’ve ever seen. Looks like Fane could be back in the next month or two though......

Lang needs a run up top especially when Surridge is out and Nepo needs playing on the left just for the fact he gives us width and is a steady eddie

Baxter doesn’t have the legs anymore and therefore needs mobile players around him so he can slide them in. He can’t do much when there’s two stationary lumps up top in Miller and OG. His two best through balls were to Hunt, someone with the legs to run on to them

Makes you wonder! He’s better than Miller who has lost all his pace and power in his year off.

McEleney scores his first goal back for Dundalk this week as they won the title. He’s been a bit part player since he returned,only getting back into the starting lineup recently. I noticed that he looked to have lost some timber compared to his time with us. That League is god awful though!
