  1. Dan Roan tweeted this about half an hour ago: Wish they'd make their f*cking minds up and deal with the :censored: they're going to get whatever decision they make.
  2. So Corney's risking losing sponsors, fans, reputation, and now the best young manager we've had in years, all for a rapist who hasn't played in 3 years?! Latics are really outdoing themselves here.
  3. If he does well, he'll be off to a bigger club who won't get as much :censored: from the media/public/fans as we will for signing him first. If he wins his appeal, we'll have got all the :censored: and he'll be off to a bigger club who won't be signing a rapist. If he does badly, we'll have signed a rapist for no reason. We're basically paying him to ruin our reputation. We can't win.
  4. Are any of the people sticking up for him the same people who were singing 'she said no' at Sheffield United?
  5. We said that too. He's not even prolific anymore, he's been inside for five years or whatever. Not comfortable with this.
  6. Speaking of which... They were talking on twitter and I found this on Schmeltz's profile: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V386D5Bcof4&feature=youtu.be - Sidney Schmeltz Official Movie.
  7. I think a Worst Man of the Match poll would be better for this one. It'd be the closest poll in ages.
  8. Genuinely wouldn't change it around too much. It was obviously an off-day, but this team seems like one that would want to put a result like Saturday's right. Although I'd say Kusunga and Elokobi did enough to be dropped, both were awful. Kenny B. Wilson J. Wilson Dieng Mills Tidser Johnson Jones Philliskirk Forte Ibhere
  9. Easily. Ran their midfield. Hayter did alright too, always been a decent player.
  10. Did we have a shot on target? Kusunga is a decent player, but that was one of the worst defensive performances I've seen in a long time. Doesn't help that we've been forced to change the team every week, but you can't excuse that performance. Hope Johnson doesn't try to.
  11. Wonder if the FLS will do a feature? That bald bloke would be all over Johnson vs Johnson.
  12. Have they purposely worded that to confuse people? I think it's saying anyone can go and pick up a voucher for a free game? That right?
  13. apparently they struggled to get past Northampton in a replay in the last round. If they play like they did against us, they could struggle.
  14. I think a bit of both. He never really settled here but you could see he had ability somewhere. As soon as he missed a late penalty at Walsall he was out. Not really surprised to see him doing well i the SPL - probably a similar overall level to League One.
  15. Depending on who Donny draw tomorrow, that might be punishment enough.
  16. Shame we've not reached the 3rd Round, but hopefully we can put all our efforts on the league with no distractions. Hope Dickov gets a London Championship side away in the next round, be gutted if they draw a Prem side.
  17. I don't expect big things, but I expect that the players put the effort in and the manager shows he wants to win. Problem with Dickov is that there were far too many half-arsed performances. If any fans are going to have 'a bit of realism', then surely the ones who support the club who've been in the same division for 18 years are realistic with expectations?
  18. and his reaction when Smith scored against Everton. Wonder if he'll celebrate like that on Saturday when Forte scores in the last minute?
  19. If an Oldham fan wanted a ticket in the home end, they'd have got it. But if they made it all ticket for home fans then I'd imagine some of them wouldn't have bothered two trips to Spotland, might have reduced some trouble.
  20. They say they don't care much for us, but they're fairly consistent with calling us Biffo's. Still don't think there is a rivalry there, but maybe a few more atmospheres like Saturday's and one might start. Can't see as much trouble at BP, no way the police will let us share the RRE.
  21. Mostly 6's and 7's, apart from.. Mills - just another solid performance. Got clobbered all game and still won most tackles. 8 Dieng - won basically every tackle. Not the best at the long ball, but doesn't need to be. 8 Kelly - there was a point in the second half where he lost the ball near their penalty area, and had won it back before the halfway line with 5 yards to make up on the Dale player. 8/9 Johnson - 2 good goals, making it 3 goals and an assist in 3 games. I was cautious when his first interview was titled 'I Will Score Goals', but fair play. 8 Philliskirk - he's so comfortable you barely notice him, until he pops up with 3 assists. Could tell he's an Oldham lad, he was proper up for it. 9 Think this MotM poll will be the closest in a long time. Could go to any of 6 players.
  22. However much he'd improve the team is nothing compared to the reputation we'd get. We'd lose fans, sponsors, respect.. Don't think we could afford that, especially financially. That's to say he would improve the team at all. We've got the best balance in the squad in years, and there's a feel good atmosphere around the place, there's no logic in losing that momentum. Is it worth the fans making their feelings known to the club now, before anything develops?
  23. It looked like the police were heavy handed with the big guy who kicked off in the seated stand behind the goal after Forte's penalty. He was throwing punches at them but he was down for a while, and it looked like paramedics were with him. Sounds like Hulk Hogan didn't do much wrong, but this guy did deserve to be chucked out.
