One thing that often gets me about these sorts of incidents that rarely gets discussed, is the disproportionate amount of uproar that comes about dependent on who the perpetrator was. Suppose the boot was on the other foot, and one of these Tarquins was waving around his placard/piece of electrical equipment he'd stolen from the bank he'd just smashed up, and he happens to wallop a passer by causing that person to collapse and die. Would it make such prominent headlines as it has here? Would CCTV footage of the incident be bandied about the media? Would there be such an international witch-hunt calling Tarquin a murderer and calling for a Full Independent Enquiry into the incident? Why oh why does it cause such a delirious reaction when it happens to be someone in a position of authority who is at fault? Back to the argument here. I haven't seen the video, not particularly bothered about getting a load of it either, but from what people seem to be saying on here is that this guy didn't exactly cooperate fully with those who were there to try and restore order from what was a rather pathetic protest anyway.

I'm seriously concerned that tomorrow's match has got the most votes.

Twice in recent years I've dreamt that we win in the last minute in a home game. On both occasions, we've won the next home game 4-1 in real life. My most recent dream though was that I was actually playing for Latics and we were away at Chelsea in the cup (I even remember the Liquidator music playing). We gave a good account of ourselves but were 3-0 down going into the closing stages, until a rebound from a corner came to me. I scuffed the shot goalwards but Lampard was able to get to it, however rather than clear it he comically sliced the ball into the top corner of his own net. We all celebrated wildly as, even though we were about to lose, we'd got the consolation goal we deserved. In celebrating we tried to involve Lampard as, after all, he had scored the goal for us. However he didn't see the funny side and a big brawl broke out. It all calmed down then at the final whistle I attempted to apologise for the situation to John Obi Mikel by saying 'goodbye' in Japanese. He looked at me a bit funny then taught me some more Japanese as we headed down the tunnel. No dreams since Big Joe took over unfortunately but I'll keep you posted!

Yes I agree entirely. Having these avatars is despicable and degrading to women. I'm told there are plenty of other places on the internet where people can get their fix of such images, so why do we need them here too?
