    Exactly. I'm a little grumpy about it but that's just because I thought we had a decent manager in Johnson. He's moved to progress his career - he believes at least - in management. He's done nothing wrong. This is football and, indeed, life.

    I believe the backpass was outlawed in order to stop boring time-wasting tactics. A team winning 1-0 could just send the ball to the keeper and he could pick it up and wander around bouncing it for a bit. This came after the wonderfully boring 1990 world cup. I'm happy to be corrected by someone who wasn't still in nappies at the time though.

    I love the 'Ajax style' blue and white kit and I'd pair it with the, ahem, electric orange change strip. However I am but one man, and it seems there are many that for some reason many don't agree. Now it's not for me to call these people philistines, their opinions count just as much as those that do like these kits. They're wrong though.

    You make a good point. There's no reason they couldn't just structure deals to depend on appearances I suppose.

    Why would they not be? Maybe I'm missing some potentially underhand aspects of these deals but they seem fair to me.

    I probably should have said decent pundits for us. With Royle on board we'd get a bit more coverage than otherwise.
