  1. I'm not sure I believe you, I'd sincerely love to though.
  2. I don't know whether I'm scared, aroused or a combination of the two.
  3. I dare say the majority watch of their own volition.
  4. Now I love a tenuous analogy as much as the next man, but I'm not sure you'll convince many round here that MLS is the standard bearer for football fan behaviour. Anyway I don't think a lack of sympathy for those who celebrate away goals in the home end is condoning assault, it's just an acknowledgement that they could quite easily have avoided the situation.
  5. Me too, maybe I'm speaking in hope more than expectation!
  6. OK, I can see this selling out I suppose. But it'll make general sale first.
  7. Are we not getting a bit giddy here after the weekend? Do we honestly think there are that many people desperate for a trip to Fleetwood in mid January?
  8. Gordon was also insistent on adding the penalties to the 90 minute score! "So Latics have scored both their penalties, Preston have scored one and missed one, so that makes it 4-3 to Latics overall" It was like this was the first penalty shootout he'd ever witnessed.
  9. Yeah I made my annual visit there recently and they insisted on checking my ID. I'm a bearded 26 year old.
  10. I was wondering this, I bought two tickets today and the seats are about 15 seats apart and on separate rows!
  11. What's the lie? A play-off place? Not even promotion!?
  12. I think that may have been what BP1960 was watching when Peter Beagrie referred to us & Preston as favourites. I can't imagine Beagrie getting a spot on Newsnight to discuss the JPT.
  13. In that case then just ask for a ticket in the family stand/area, all clubs have them.
  14. My understanding is that the angled writing is a knowing nod towards the slope of the Boundary Park pitch, whilst also injecting a modicum of self-deprecating humour by referencing the last 15 years of gradual decline.
  15. It's funny how we all have our own blind spots when it comes to the rules. Little things we forget or have just never thought about. I couldn't tell you who or in what game but I remember about ten years ago at BP an opposition player frantically appealing for offside when Latics broke on the counter, despite the Latics player running from and receiving the ball in our own half.
  16. I think almost everyone would agree that a banner that shows our support for the team whilst also maybe gently ribbing ourselves, maybe with an in-joke, would probably be best. Someone mentioned something like "TITS - OLDHAM", maybe not quite that but in that vein. Personally I think a banner saying "HOME OF THE TUBULAR BANDAGE" would be pretty funny. Opposition fans probably wouldn't have a clue, but then they probably wouldn't care regardless of the banner. It'd be a bit like the toaster at Wolves, or Notts's wheelbarrow song. That's my two penneth anyhow. It's upto whoever wants to make/buy one though. If you're spending the time and money you do as you please. Bollocks to us moaning sods on here sticking our collective oar in.
  17. One that laughed at Rochdale generally - not just the football club - would be good. It'd also be a good laugh for other games where we can expect a big away following.
  18. You are aware that hashtags are a device used on twitter and, to a lesser extent, facebook aren't you? I hope for the sake of all your family and friends that you don't use them in everyday conversation.
  19. Good point on the capacity, is there a minimum for the FA Cup? I found nothing in a quick internet search, does anyone know?
