  3. We need to be more direct at times - too much tippy tappy stuff around the box , extra touches when shots are on, the "one footed" players - Gardner and engone come to mind always have to get the ball on the stronger foot - losing opportunities. This happened all afternoon today.

  7. My take on the second half performance by Macclesfield in one word....HOOF!
  8. O'grady won a lot in the air tonight and chased down everything- I reckon one of Lang or surridge playing off him could be very productive on Saturday. Bunn spent a lot of the first half shouting at benteke to do more.
  9. Oct 9th 1982 for me vs Newcastle, Ended 2-2 and it was packed with geordies in the main stand paddock. Keegan and McDermott were playing for them.
  10. The club would like to thank fans for their ongoing support and patients during this time. who the hell is writing these things ?
  11. Always seemed like he couldn't be bothered - maybe he is a laid-back kind of bloke , but when you are playing football - there is usually lots of passion involved whether that's from the people watching or from getting kicked in the air on the pitch or scoring (snigger) but whichever he just didn't seem arsed... very frustrating player because with the ball at his feet he does have the talent.
  12. That game was so bad I switched channels and watched pirlo' s testimonial game - now that is desperate ?
  13. Wide open midfield with no width Defenders that struggle to defend - it is ok to boot the ball into the stand you know - don't have to always try and pass it out... Like a fantasy football team- looks good on paper but .. But I did think benteke showed that bit of composure the others didn't...
  14. Rochdale were also very direct tonight- granted it seemed to be more of a 'planned onslaught but still lots of hoof!
  15. Nazon needs to be used as an impact sub - last half hour boom?
  16. Today was the first time I have seen nazon actually pass the ball to a team mate! I think I would play him as an impact sub to run at tired defences - Doyle needs to play off someone who will put a bit of effort in - today he seemed to do all the chasing whilst nazon just mooched around.
  17. Bury FC (First Team) v Oldham Athletic FC (First Team) Football League 1 Referee: Woolmer, Andy Assistant Referee: Crysell, Adam Assistant Referee: Dermott, Philip Fourth Official: Backhouse, Anthony
  18. I noticed McLaughlin's speedy exit too - hopefully he was just desperate for a pee! And not sulking..
