Rotherham where hammering us even before the subs but couldn't finish, once they found the net we completely gave up Tope did piss all except miss a sitter all match anyway. Subbing Gardner was strange though, was having a decent game.

True some of it is down to the players, but when he has switched to 4 at the back (such as Charlton before Fane was sent off) we looked much more comfortable. Cant play 3 at the back when the defenders turn like buses

First half we weren't bad and should have gone in winning. Tope has to score his chance. Cant say this every week though, and second half, it could have been 8. Before they started scoring every 2 minutes they missed 4/5 sitters. Truly shocking defending and in part Its down to 352. Its not working and hasn't been working. He has to go for me

Byrne is a wonderful player, he would walk into Shrews' midfield, Wigan must have some midfield if he can't get in. Their number 12 is a very good player at this level, thought the same last year. They knocked it about well but lets be honest, we created a LOT of chances never mind several good ones too from corners. We should have won, I believe we would have had Doyle (class player at this level) scored. He had to score that though, it seemed clear from there we would be punished. 3-5-2 while seems to be allowing us to play some cracking football in midfield is the problem. The keeper doesn't seem up to it, can't kick, flaps at crosses etc but the system will not work with Clarke and Gerrard. Like someone pointed out they are dragged wide and there is soooooo much space. It needs to be addressed I don't think we should sack Shezza however I think its coming, i think he knows too. The home form must be addressed. Still, some of the football today was a joy to watch and had Doyle scored, we would have won. Pretty much this for me. Keeper is garbage and needs to be replaced, brian wilson as I said on twitter was Mr reliable but is simply getting beat constantly by younger faster players and its concerning. Dummigan in truth hasn't looked good at all but he does have some pace at least. Agree about the centre backs too Though Clarke is a much better player overall so I would drop Gerrard for Stott when fit and play Hunt Stott Clarke Dummigan. Maybe Edmundson but I think with Clarke next to him Stott could slot in at centre back. We looked so much better once Banks had gone off. He's shocking, needs to never play again. Once he went off and we went 442 we actually looked a pretty good side. All of the new lads looked good and Doyle up front was fantastic. Better things to come, leave banks out of the 11, Mclaughlin to come in, couple changes at the back and I think we'll be okay

Crewe was way worse, like someone said above at 2-0 it was on its way to Crewe but never quite reached that level. Will never forget Crewe away that year haha

Yep. Drives me mad, we seem to be letting the oppositions midfield dictate play by standing off them. I think it has something to do with the system...didn't seem to happen as much once we binned off the 3 at the back system

First half was a shambles. Absolutely shambolic performance. Up there with Crewe away the other year that. Second half we actually started to play a bit of football, the atmosphere lifted too and you could see the players actually started to try. That's all we want...if we lose to a team better than us but give 100% then it is what it is but first half the players genuinely couldn't give a toss. No idea why when we scored we then decided to not play football again...Hoofing it across pitch which never works. 3 at the back isn't working, looked much better when it was changed to 442. Mantack played well when he came on but on a couple of occasions when he could have bombed up the pitch...he chose to wait and I assume, wait for Dummigan to overlap but ended up losing the ball...frustrating as he changed it. Fawns should be starting, looked a bit lost at times out wide but offers more than some of the other midfielders. Glad Fane went off he had a mare. Overall I think a draw would have been fair, that being said...Blackpool missed a couple of absolute sitters. Defence is far too slow, Wilson and Gerrard get burned by everyone and anyone...Clarke at least normally wins it back if he isn't quick enough. 4 at the back and I'd play Hunt in his position (not in fucking CM) and bring Stott in either LB or in the Centre with Clarke. Improvement needed...And no way all those players are injured/ill all of a sudden. Something a bit weird going on...my dad mentioned this morning he saw McLaughlin at the club just after the coach had left...he had all his gear with him but was walking back to his car. Players didn't deserve that following/atmosphere...imagine if we were actually remotely good!

Thought Mclaughlin was decent in the Midfield on Saturday - Think I'm one of the only ones who didn't think Fane had a good game really bar the odd run or 2 in the second half which lead to nothing. Banks was a shambles. Thrown Fawns in all day long for me. And for the love of Christ get Banks off of Set pieces.

Can see Oxford bringing 1200 if they had 600 sold yesterday. Would like to think we can muster 4k for opening game of the season, crowd of over 5k for sure I think

Did palmer get released from Burton? Thought he was a first teamer there nowadays? Was early in the season anyway Tope on a 2 year, or 1 year with an option in our favour would be good news now.
