OAFC Young player of the season:

Lewis Allessandra

OAFC best opponent (best team I've seen this season):

None have really stood out to be honest!

The left winger of Swindon looked good both home and away (mcnamee?)

Best away ground:

Forest - despite it being another Tuesday in september, I always enjoy my trip to the city ground.

Worst away ground:

Leeds - Too many Leeds fans in it

OAFC Comedy moment award:

Peltier's bullet header into his own net vs Yeovil.

Worst Performance of the season:

Hudderfield home in the FA cup. Ok, maybe it wasn't but I was very dissapointed in the lads that day.

Worst moment of the season:

Leeds' winner at B.P. - Sickened.

OAFC My moment of the season:

Walking around the concorse of Elland Road at half time. Could hardly speak I was in so much shock. Things had sunk in a bit at full time and vs Everton I was more happy than stunned.

(Special mentions in this section to the entire week of Jan 1 - Jan 8th 2008 and 6th November 2007 from 9.30 onwards for a few days)

OAFC Performance of the season

Everton away

OAFC Goal of the season:

Ruben Hazzel vs Leeds - it defied the laws of physics, the way he was leaning back when he hit it

OAFC Player of the season:

Craig Davies - bagged 13 goals despite getting a barage of stick, and linked up well with Hughes

OAFC Young player of the season:

Dean Smalley - has come in and played more games than he ever expected this season and I've seen a lot of development in him as the season has gone on

OAFC best opponent (best team I've seen this season):

Crewe in the first 20 minutes against us, no-one has really stood out really, some teams have had the beating of us, some havent

Best opposing player I've seen this season:

Michael Ricketts - you have to admit he played out of his skin against us

Best away ground:

Bournemouth - because unlike every other ground they let me hang my flag in a decent place and not over seats like everywhere else

Worst away ground:

Port Vale - the view is rubbish no matter where you sit

OAFC My moment of the season:

That Bloke at Walsall telling everyone to 'use their brain' despite not sounding like the most intelligent of chaps

Everton

OAFC Goal of the season:

Rubes v Leeds

OAFC Player of the season:

Mark Allott

OAFC Young player of the season:

Deane Smalley

OAFC best opponent:

Swansea on opening day. I've seen us mugged plenty of times so it all balances out, but we should have been thumped!

Best opposing player I've seen this season:

Kelvin Wilson at Forest

Best away ground:

Hartlepool...the ground itself was garbage but it was great having a couple of drinks in the beer garden next to the marina...sun was shining and the locals were friendly. Summertime trip again next season please, fixtures computer!

Worst away ground:

Vale Park, half-built, pie was stone cold and fell apart anyway. Just glad we didn't have to sit through the rendition of 'Glad all over' when they score. Glad we broke the duck, but good riddance!

OAFC Comedy moment award:

The Russian dancer in a nappy at Huddersfield. Quality.

Worst Performance of the season:

That I saw, Northampton at home.

Worst moment of the season:

Michael Ricketts going, leaving me looking a plonker with his name on my shirt.

OAFC My moment of the season:

Yakubu hitting the post at Goodison. I was so nervous, adamant they were going to score and ruin it for us. When he hit the post I knew it was our day. Kissed the old man on his forehead and shouted deliriously 'WE'RE GONNA DO IT' in his face. Incredible day.

I'll add my latter one

Worst moment of the season:

Killkenny leaving, I knew it would have a knock-on effect and we struggled for a time without him

Struggled....as in....started winning games at home? Lol...great for us away when he had the space to open teams up, but at home against stubborn, sitting back, defences he didn't have the goods. Not upset that he left.

OAFC Comedy moment award:

The "AAARRRGGHHHHHH!!" player for AFC Bournemouth!

There was another one of those moments yesterday! One of their lads totally misfired at the end of the first half and scream his head off in frustration. Cue a copy of his "arrrrggghhhh!!!".....he turned and gave a big grin. Gotta say, their players did have a sense of humour which was good to see. My chant at their lad taking a corner of "Are you Boshell in disguise?" had him giggling (wonder if he knows Boshell.) His run was the 2nd most campest I've ever seen (obviously Danny's being the 1st.) Oh and then you got Holt.....he had a giggle too. Good on them!

Rubes against leeds

OAFC Player of the season:

Allott, absolutely amazing effort from him this season.

OAFC Young player of the season:

Smalley, although Allesandra does excite me

Swansea looked well worth a promotion spot on the first day of the seaosn against us, despite losing.

Best opposing player I've seen this season:

Probably Scotland stands out if anyone.

Best away ground:

Evrton, just for the wooden planking in the bullens end

Worst away ground:

Haven't been to any grounds this season that I have particularly disliked, Accrington was probably the worst and I always find Walsall to be a bit boring looking as a stadium.

OAFC Comedy moment award:

Either the Hudds streaker or the 'argggggghhhhhhh' guy against bournemouth

Worst Performance of the season: From games i went to

Hard to pick one out, there have been a few shockers this season.

Worst moment of the season:

Leeds last minute winner.

OAFC My moment of the season:

Can't believe nobody else has mentioned this, but DEFINITELY Tranmere away. We played really well but just couldn't score and then after having gone 4 games in a row withough scoring Davies heads in with 93 mins gone. Was buzzing off that for about 2 weeks!

REUBEN HAZELL v LEEDS

OAFC Player of the season:

Mark Allott, proud to wear the shirt every week along with 100% effort

OAFC Young player of the season:

Dean Smalley - close between him and alessandra, but il go for dean based on number of apperances.

OAFC best opponent (best team I've seen this season):

Swansea - walked the league

Best opposing player I've seen this season:

Barry Fuller (gillingham) played rightback against us this season and i thought he was solid and pacey (although he hasnt gone on to play many games)

Best away ground:

Forest - although after 5 big lads in a 3 door fiesta for over 2 hours, i think any ground we arrived at would have won the award!

Worst away ground:

Everton - i know away fans get the worst area of the ground, but for a well established premiership team, a 20min que for a pint before kickoff and a wooden stand, it gets my vote!

OAFC Comedy moment award:

The Chaddy End - for ''its just like watching, the bill'' chant as every copper in the ground ran towards the scrap in the chaddy

Worst Performance of the season:

Hudderfield in the f.a cup, after the win at everton, and hudds win against birmingham, the build up to that game was huge, and we blew it!

Worst moment of the season:

The ref that gave the last min pen against us (that never was) against donny at home in the league

OAFC My moment of the season:

The Final whistle at everton after about 15mins stoppage time! GET IN!!!

Worst away ground:

Everton - i know away fans get the worst area of the ground, but for a well established premiership team, a 20min que for a pint before kickoff and a wooden stand, it gets my vote! and not only that it cost about 6 quid for a pint and a hot dog- robbing scousers

The Fat lad at the gayfarm getting loads of abuse with his fit missus

Hazell at Elland Road.

Mark Allott

No real stand outs for me.

Living in France, I've only managed to see 4 games all season - Mansfield(H), Forest (H), Walsall(H) and Leeds(A) - but here goes...

OAFC Performance of the season

Leeds away

OAFC Goal of the season:

Reuben at Leeds

OAFC Player of the season:

From what I hear from back home and read on here Allott but I thought Eardley played well in the games I saw - seemed to have matured from last season but this may not be representative - I know he has many detractors on here!

OAFC Young player of the season:

Eardley

OAFC best opponent (best team I've seen this season):

Walsall - that was a lesson in how to play and win away from home

Best opposing player I've seen this season:

Michael Ricketts

Best away ground:

Only one to choose from but I'm not a fan

Worst away ground:

Elland Road

OAFC Comedy moment award:

None stand out though the 90 minutes spent watching Mansfield try to defend weren't bad for a laugh

Oh and I can't remember the game but Kalala trying to head a ball clear, totally unchallenged, which was coming down from about 200 foot in the air and just heading it straight back up - the guy is a clown.

Worst Performance of the season:

Walsall at Home - though they were very good we just didn't turn up

Worst moment of the season:

Good and bad really - getting the phone call telling me we'd won at Everton 24 hours after I came back to France because I thought we'd get mullered so decided not to change my flights after the draw. Never again!!

The only other was when Leeds scored after 10 seconds in the second half at their place - I really feared the worst.

OAFC My moment of the season:

Reuben's goal - will live long in the memory

OAFC Performance of the season

Leeds away

OAFC Goal of the season:

Davies at Huddersfield

OAFC Player of the season:

Mark Allott

OAFC Young player of the season:

Chris Taylor

OAFC best opponent (best team I've seen this season):

Swansea. Passed us off the pitch. Undeserved lost.

We made the majority of teams look good this season.

Best opposing player I've seen this season:

Jason Scotland.

Best away ground:

Goodison Park

Worst away ground:

Doncaster Rovers- Souless Bowl.

OAFC Comedy moment award:

Dean Smalleys open goal misses.

The Bournemouth Argggggggggghhhh player.

Worst Performance of the season:

The majority of home defeats. Not heavily beaten but sometimes little or no shots on goal, which for a home side is pathetic.

Leeds / Bristol Rovers / Hartlepool / Northampton / Huddersfield in the cup. etc etc etc.

Worst moment of the season:

Not Strengthening in January.

Getting hammered at Hartlepool.

OAFC My moment of the season:

Gary McDonalds goal at Everton. A goal which will probably save him from getting released.

OAFC Performance of the season

Everton/Leeds clear highs. Carlisle at home was a turning point.

OAFC Goal of the season:

Allott against Orient. At last someone in the right spot as it drops on the edge of the box.

OAFC Player of the season:

Allott. Done the business and proved to be a bargain under much scrutiny.

OAFC Young player of the season:

For me Smalley/Alessandra. Both need more goals but it'll come. Not considered Taylor/Eards, they're almost senior pro's now!

OAFC best opponent (best team I've seen this season):

Swansea were excellent.

Best opposing player I've seen this season:

None really stand out for me. There are some good players in this league but a lot of them don't see to turn up when they play us. Leaves me wondering if it's a lot of hype or if we just played them well.

Best away ground:

Everton. Might be old, cramped but it's a proper ground. Orient in our league I like.

Worst away ground:

Luton/Doncaster's dead bowl

OAFC Comedy moment award:

ARRRRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHH!!!

Worst Performance of the season:

Luton away. The sending off half disguised the complete lack of interest shown from the first whistle to last.

Worst moment of the season:

Leeds last minute was hard to stomach with a relative being a Leeds nut. Still January more than made up for that.

OAFC My moment of the season:

The moment the whistle went at Everton. Tears and a few pictures that perfectly caught the day we'd had. Not to mention getting back to the pub, great music, great result, surrounded by mates, no drug can match it!

OK, being really bored at work I'll give it the once over...

OAFC Performance of the season

Tranmere away. The reason? We were in a bit of a rut prior to that, following a dire defeat at Leyton Orient. That win sparked us into a run of form of which if we had not had we'd be with the Millwall's and the Crewe's right now.

OAFC Goal of the season:

Rueben Hazell's piledriver at Leeds.

OAFC Player of the season:

Mark Allott

OAFC Young player of the season:

Lewis Alessandra

OAFC best opponent (best team I've seen this season):

Swansea. Which simply goes to show how poor this division is.

Best opposing player I've seen this season:

No-one has stood out for me. Many are saying Jason Scotland, but to be honest, against us he didn't do much besides score their goal.

Best away ground:

Always love Nottingham Forest's ground.

Worst away ground:

Any of the usual, bric-a-brac IKEA stadiums that litter this division (i.e. Donny/Northampton/Walsall etc. etc.)

OAFC Comedy moment award:

Yup, still the Bournemouth Argggggggggghhhh player.

Worst Performance of the season:

Hartlepool away. Disgustingly pathetic.

Worst moment of the season:

The 94th minute at home to Leeds

OAFC My moment of the season:

The 3rd goal away at Leeds!

OK then - here we go... and apologies if it is a little Lee Hughes dominated!

OAFC Performance of the season

Millwall away... just the type of performance we hadnt done for pretty much an entire season, back to the wall, coming from behind, the whole squad just showing some real grit that was unfortunately destroyed by injuries and loanees going away - that side with that attitude would have got us promoted - but it just wasnt to be... singing "no-one likes us we dont care" to Millwall - brilliant...

OAFC Goal of the season:

Hughes at Bournemouth - without a shadow of a doubt... gets it 30 yards out, turns, doesnt even look up and - BANG! Havent seen a goal like it froma latics player for ages... absolute class.. i'rd rate his third at Millwall as the second best, control, turn and volley in one movement with his back to goal - an absolute class above.

OAFC Player of the season:

Mark Allott - nuff said...

OAFC Young player of the season:

Am i right in thinking the 'official' young alayer age grouping is under 23?? Then Craig Davies - everyone forgets how young he is, and next season he could really be something special...

OAFC best opponent (best team I've seen this season):

Swansea. Bets team in the division by a country mile... remind me of the lashers last season, great going forward, and solid in the middle an at the back... Robinson is a great player - scotland aint that good.. he just has great service and players around him

Best opposing player I've seen this season:

Ugh - no-one really special... Michael Ricketts?

Best away ground:

Errr.. goodison...

Worst away ground:

Brizzle rovers - cant wait for that tip to dissapear... the confiscation of the drum at half time was a mockery....

OAFC Comedy moment award:

Bournemouth - the Santa's... "santa's give us a song!" ... Lees' broken nose at Everton was also entertaining.... as was the amount of people who missed the goal getting a pint...

Worst Performance of the season:

Any away performance in the last 8 weeks... all awful

Worst moment of the season:

Losing to Huddersfield in the cup - so predictable, and so dissapointing...

OAFC My moment of the season:

I'll remember some brilliant celebrations - Millwall, Everton, Tranmere... but for me, it was the moment at goodison, mid way through the second half, when Hughesy walked down the touchline pumping his fist infront of the crowd.. everyone went mental, and it showed the passion this guy has to play for us...

Hughes and Davies could potentialy be the best strikeforce we have seen here for many a year...

OK then - here we go... and apologies if it is a little Lee Hughes dominated!

OAFC Performance of the season

Everton

OAFC Goal of the season:

Macca at Everton, despite the aforemaentioned nasal reshaping issues. Did it really hang in the air for a minute on it's wy in? It felt like it.

OAFC Player of the season:

Ratters

OAFC Young player of the season:

I'm going for a newcomer here, so Smalley

OAFC best opponent (best team I've seen this season):

Luton away, oddly. We were dreadful that day but they were also very good, far too good to expect to see them down there.

Best opposing player I've seen this season:

Dunno, tend not to remember them that much.

Best away ground:

Certainly not Everton, frigging :censored:e catering gets. I enjoyed Forest.

Worst away ground:

Brighton. I forgot my telescope.

OAFC Comedy moment award:

ARRRGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!

And the ref at Millwall bending his full speed run down into the protective cover whilst blowing his whistle

Worst Performance of the season:

The memory escapes me, but there were a couple of home games not long after Christmas when I realised where the home only fans were all walking around looking for ways to top themselves whereas I'd been really cheerful following our away triumphs

Worst moment of the season:

Leeds scoring. It was terrible knowing how happy they were, and all at our expense.

OAFC My moment of the season:

Pissing on Norman Hunter's carf after Elland Road. His motor was symbolic of all of those dirty scummers who had been laughing at us at BP.

OAFC performance of the season:

Leeds away (we absolutely battered them and they turned up a lot more than Everton)

OAFC goal of the season:

Reuben Hazell v Leeds

OAFC player of the season:

Mark Allot (or Fagin as i like to call him- anything Rat related reminds me of the abuse he got towards the end of his previous spell and whilst at Chesterfield). Although I voted for Trotman that was because I felt he deserved some recognition and would have been up there if he hadn't had been sold.

OAFC young player of the season:

Craig Davies (he's still young enough to qualify)

OAFC best opponent:

Southend (I wasn't at either Swansea game)

OAFC best opposing player:

Lescott for Everton when he came on otherwise Marcus Stewart who bossed the Yeovil away game

Best away ground:

Port Vale (I've been twice and seen us win twice). Hartlepool gets a mention for being so close

Worst away ground:

Everton (crappy wooden stand with bad views and the worst catering facilities known to man- £3.50 for two cans of horrible lager poured into a pint container with a 30 minute wait just because they are sponsered by lager company is dire). As they are in the Premiership and should be better. Brighton gets an honourable mention for being so expensive for what you get.

OAFC comedy moment :

Andy Holt's miss on against Northampton away and the reaction from player and fans alike

Worst performance of the season:

Hartlepool away (fortunately I only had a 25 minute journey home)

Worst moment of the season:

Huddersfield beating us in the cup

OAFC my moment of the season:

The abuse my mate Dave got for his wardrobe error against Port Vale away. Although discovering this place and the subsequent banter deserves a very good mention
