wardlelatic
Oh dear, if we get a tonking off Brighton, what are they going to do to us...? By all accounts we were all over them at 2-1 until Hazell's silly back pass to the keeper and the mistake was punished by another goal ! LaticsPete
Oh dear, if we get a tonking off Brighton, what are they going to do to us...? Get real.... Possibly the same as Leicester and Leeds did to us.
Lookers_Carl
Oh dear, if we get a tonking off Brighton, what are they going to do to us...? Charlton will have a job avoiding a points deduction next season!!!
singe
Who can say. I hope (and expect) the team is very different from the one today. I think some of the players know they are not going to be here next season
BigfinLatic
Charlton will have a job avoiding a points deduction next season!!! Exactly. Both Charlton and Southampton are right up financial poop creek without a paddle. Even if they dont start with a points deduction, they will be playing thier youth teams. Could be two of the biggest freefalling teams yet... both are totally screwed, and as they are not Leeds, they have no way to get out of it... oafc0000
While people rightly point to the money problems at Southampton and Charlton... They will still be able to attract the players over us just like Leeds and Lecister...

BigfinLatic
Not if they can't pay them. Exactly. You can compare Charlton and the Saints to Dirty Leeds and Leicester. The latter have 25000 at each game that they invest directly back into the team, the former have a dwindling and annoyed fanbase, and any revenue gets sent to the administrator. They are right royally screwed, and I wouldnt be surprised if they went into freefall.* Look at Charlton for example. They already signed Kandol from league 1 as they could afford a Championship striker... Southampton have been playing the youth team for months. I cant see how this league isnt going to be weaker next season... none of the promoted teams will have the ability to challenge at the top like MK and P'boro, and the team coming down will be screwed... except possibly whoever takes the third relegation spot.. have a feeling with reduced budgets next season will be a free for all for promotion... *again, as Leeds should have done Edited April 19, 2009 by BigfinLatic

leeslover
Charlton never had huge attendances and they don't have a bedrock of support who might rally to them in hard times. They have infuriated "smaller" teams in the chav towns of Kent by sending free buses to ferry fans in to see higher division football. I think a mini-bus will do now.
