Usual gob:censored:es out in force as soon as we lose a game, I see. Witch-hunts have started.....

Think I'll retire to the Drawing Room for the evening.

Nowt wrong with venting one's frustrations after a disappointing and financially disasterous defeat......

Strange atmosphere today compared to Tuesday

Strange ground

Strange stewards and rules

Strange home fans

Strange midfield without Furman

Strange seeing Taylor doing a personal lap of honour talking to fans at the end

Strange defending especially by Hazell

A win today, with the right draws in the next rounds, could have wiped that out.

An away game at Everton netted £500k, from memory. Not quite wiping out £1.5m.

(Not saying the money wouldn't have come in handy, but even on reaching the third round the odds of drawing a Premiership club are less than one in three and unless Latics ended up in the final it would be unlikely that they could make over £1.5m from a good FA Cup run).

I think you only went to make the point how crucial a cup run was this year... Keep the debt low until we can find further investment is vital...

Anyway, the ship has sailed... Like many other ships over the years...

33,000 x £20 = £660k

45% (?) = £300k

Take off the VAT = £250k

That would still have made a big difference though. It's funny how football money gets bigger every time it's repeated.

There's also appearance money for reaching that stage of the competition (no idea how much though).

Perhaps that £500k included the first Trotman instalment.

Still not the £1.5m quoted above though

How many bucketfuls of coins or extra ticket sales would you need to make up for a not winning at Accrington?. Given the current state of affairs, the Accrington game was a financial priority.
