edhunteruk
ominous…. Reason why White's back? could be.... i hope if he goes we dont sell ourselfs short on the fee.... think it would be more pallatable if by selling taylor it funded our promotion to championship without killing us in the process.... garcon
Let's face it, if he does go, whatever the reported fee is there will be a sizeable number on here who'll rant and rave that we've been had, again.
razza699
I reckon even if we accepted Taylor would refuse to move there anyway. Edited January 27, 2011 by razza699
Crusoe
Yep. The idea that a player is worth something more than what someone offers and we'll accept is a strong one.

I don't think he'll go to Scunny BUT us announcing that he's available for the right price will alert other long-term suitors. (Leeds?) Perhaps his surge in form has come just at the wrong (right) time for us? Knowing Chris is Latics through and through will hopefully mean he'll do the right thing for him and 'his' club if he moves on... Senor_Coconut
ominous…. Reason why White's back? Why would it be the reason Whites back? The plan was always to keep him for the season.
oafcprozac
Why would it be the reason Whites back? The plan was always to keep him for the season. Yeah and the plan might have been to sell Taylor in January...
MaskedOwl
surely the fee will be 'undisclosed'
Gaz_Oafc
It doesnt say wether the bid was accepted / rejected?
singe
So now every football team in the country knows that he could be for sale. So he is only worth what someone bids for him. Although I think we should resist selling at the £250k mark, and hopefully we can afford to. Looks like a come on get your bids in article to me. Taylors value on OWTB over the years has fluctuated from 10p to £1m+ I don't think Scunny is the best move for Chris Taylor though.
oafcprozac
It doesnt say wether the bid was accepted / rejected? Normally when the website confirms interest in one of ours they're gonners ala Eards and Trotters…as I say ominous...
HarryBosch
could be.... i hope if he goes we dont sell ourselfs short on the fee.... i get a feeling Dickov wouldn't allow that to happen from what he's saying on the OS
HarryBosch
i just can't see him agreeing to go to Scunthorpe what a depressing move that would be for him
PlayItLivo
If someone comes in with 450k+, bye-bye Chris. We have adequate cover and we'll have money to sign that star striker and pay the lecci for a few week. Just awaiting Doncaster's interest now. Shot in the dark perhaps Blackpool, too. I get the feeling with only 4 days of the window remaining we may well see him move on loan with view to permanent deal in the summer (formality -just to keep down on paper-work and to prevent a protracted move). ghostofcecere
If we can get £350K for him take the money, but I think we will have to be prepared to accept more like £250K. I'll be sorry to see him go though.

oafcprozac
Apparently we have accepted £250,000 Source? Because I've heard Burnley have already bid £400k...
singe
Source? Because I've heard Burnley have already bid £400k... To be fair that is a fairly reasonable price, and a better move from Chris Taylors point of view. Providing there are add ons of course.
