Cant blame him I suppose, its a long way from home... Edited August 2, 2011 by razza699

ghostofcecere
I knew it was too good to be true! I can't see anybody else wanting him sadly; and I bet this stops the signing of the other players we were hoping for before weekend now too

yarddogs
How long has he gone on loan for? Sorry not read it correctly,so we're stuck with a player that doesn't want to be here and one the management don't want either
Gaz_Oafc
Does this put a stop to another striker coming in then?
yarddogs
Can we not just pay him off anyway and cancel his contract?
Bristolatic
If he's rejected the chance of first team football at Plymuff, and knows he's got little chance of much game time here, has he become one of those who is just happy to pick up a wage without earning it? If so, he's pissing me off more than ever. If I'm being unjust, I apologise.

Bristolatic
For what reason? Because he isn't wanted by PD by the looks of it and he seems happy to look at other options. Edited August 2, 2011 by Bristolatic
PhilStarbucksSilkySkills
Cause the management are prepared to let him go For what reason would we pay all or most of his wages even though he won't be here? It makes no sense. We might as well use him if we are going to pay for him. Edited August 2, 2011 by PhilStarbucksSilkySkills
oldhamandy1
I think this comes down to Feeney being worried his wages wouldn't be paid if he went there, otherwise why not sign a 1 year deal. He obviously felt by going on loan we could have continued to pay his wages and he would have been on same amount, and a paycut would have been required down there. Staying for the money, god that feels wierd to write when talking about one of our players.
stevesmitt
Surley if he is not in Dickovs plans it would be better to pay him off with 1/2 or 3/4 of what he would earn here and give him chance to find another club.
yarddogs
Cause we were going to do that if he went to Plymouth anyway
LaticMark
It would cost the club too much to pay off a full year of his contract, so unless the club or Feeney have another trick up their sleeves it looks like we are stuck with one another. Given our small budget it could also seriously hamper our attempts to bring in another few players!
PhilStarbucksSilkySkills
Cause we were going to do that if he went to Plymouth anyway We would only have paid the difference in wages. If we just release him, he will probably want the lot, or at least most of it. Edited August 2, 2011 by PhilStarbucksSilkySkills

If so, he's pissing me off more than ever. If I'm being unjust, I apologise. he has 12 months left on his contract....so whats the difference in us paying him up and him signing for them perm,or going onloan for a season, when his contract will then have finished and he wont come back anyway... stick himin the reserves....tell him he cant play for northern ireland....and let him train with ressies in kids....his selfish arsewipe attitude is now going to cost us in bringing in new players...totally disgusted with this kind of player, happy to pick up his wage and do nothing.....he deserves all the abuse n earache he is going to get. Zorrro
I don't think clubs can prevent players joining up with the national team unless there's a genuine medical reason for doing so.
oafc_lover
if he rejected the move because of the location...why would he hold talks in the first place? I have a feeling he was looking for the pay off all along...
