NewBlue
Matt Chambers: Heard that Dickov walked down tunnel as soon as Walsall third goal went in #oafc That tells you a lot. Also, they didn't come out for a warm-down which happens every game. I think he's gone, now. He knows it.
shefflatic
Matt Chambers @Matt_chambers_ Heard that Dickov walked down tunnel as soon as Walsall third goal went in #oafc Expand 7m Matt Chambers @Matt_chambers_ Players not back out on pitch for warm down yet. Unusual #oafc PD may resign rather than be pushed, just looks better

24hoursfromtulsehill
He's been sacked again on Twitter - that must be about the 100th time. The most credible source anyone ever cited was the main stand bouncer. That was about a year ago. The internet really is full of bellenz sometimes. tangerinedreams
Resign? Yep, I'm sure it would have crossed his mind as well.
NIKI1234
I feel sorry for the bloke, if the team aren't playing for him what can he do? I don't buy into the players are not playing for him. I think they are, but his instructions, tactics, formations make it seem that they are not! He's clueless. Talks a good game and can sign decent players but that the extent of his managerial capability

dazlatic
If PD has gone or not, this feels very different from the last few managers. I really wanted Paul to come good. Feels brutal to say he can't carry on. I think he is too nice-a-bloke. disillusioned
PlayItLivo
I'd keep Dickov as a scout/negotiator/PR guy/bacon butty vendor
lmfmadridOAFC
I like Dickov allot, it is time now, it is unfortunate. I still think he should have had some support as soon as they sacked the backroom staff. Edited February 2, 2013 by lmfmadridOAFC

NIKI1234
And even if they aren't playing for him, he signed them! Exactly! The effort was there today from them but Walsall sussed after 15 mins we were playing a narrow 3 in the middle and then spent an hour exploiting the full backs. Dickov didn't change a thing. jbrown23
The fight, passion and desire against Liverpool suggested to me they were playing for him to me. Players throwing themselves in front of anything, getting stuck into "superior" opposition. Following that with a 3-1 defeat suggest they were doing it for ITV, not for Dickov. Don't care what the players say in public about liking the manager and his preparation being "second to none" (according to Croft) they either aren't listening to him because they don't have support for him or what he's telling them is drivel. Either way, I don't think he could get this lot to start playing for him. I wouldn't be surprised if he walks
slystallone
I think Liverpool got him a short stay of execution. I think that might just have ended it. As i have said, whilst the Liverpool result was an unbelievable one; it was a flash in the pan. We've been dog :censored:e for ages; and slipped back into that again today. He's overseen that, its his fault and he has to live & die by that in terms of his job. He should have gone ages ago; he surely has to now?
