ZiggaZaggaAthletic Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 Should we name a stand after him? He has been here a decade and has to praised for sticking by the club when blitz and co left and has put money and tons of effort into maintaining us and keeping us afloat. I think we should. Quote
welshgaz Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 Seriously what have you been drinking? Quote
Macca Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 I can't see an Iain Stott Stand anywhere. Quote
Stevie_J Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 Seriously?! FFS! I think it would be more fitting to name a block of Boundary Park apartments after him. Quote

Markoasis Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 And the Ooh Roger Palm Court. Well I can seem some sort of plantation named after him !! Quote
Magic Mikey Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 Bearing in mind he is jewish, how about the Vic Shalom stand? Quote
jimsleftfoot Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 Well funny, this board is really a case of the extremes. I am a Corney backer but seriously, he's not a legend or god. Quote
opinions4u Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 Serious question. How much of his own money has he put into the club? Quote

opinions4u Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 I don't think anyone knows. I'll suggest the occasional short term loan. With nothing outstanding. So NIL. Quote
Stevie_J Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 I'll suggest the occasional short term loan. With nothing outstanding. So NIL. I'll suggest he doesn't have money to put into the club and that it's the other "Amigos" that have all the wealth. Also, as Chairman, he no doubt takes a fairly handsome salary. So, less than nil. laticsrblue Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 The club looses money every season, so If it's not SC keeping Latics afloat who the heck is it? The tooth fairy? Quote
opinions4u Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 (edited) The club looses money every season, so If it's not SC keeping Latics afloat who the heck is it? The tooth fairy? Made a profit of £8,000 in 2011. Dale Stephens tyvm. My guess is that the Liverpool game delivered similar for 2012. Edited February 3, 2013 by opinions4u Quote
palmer1 Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 i would suggest none of you know how much money SC pays into the club from his own pocket. I suggest that maybe your suggestions are just hearsay and another way for some to bad mouth the chairman of the club who keeps the club from dying when we have no-one else in place to run it...........unless you can suggest someone else? bigfatjoe1 Posted February 3, 2013 Posted February 3, 2013 Yes. Very good idea. The 'stand' opposite the Main Stand should be named after him NOW. It sums up the last 10 years. Quote
