oafcprozac
Scunny have 3 out of the next 4 at home and they're at home on Tuesday v Carlisle meaning we could be trotting out at Stevange at least 5 points adrift of them (they're at Yeovil at the weekend) Colchester have Sheff U (A) on Saturday The realisation of this possibly going down to the final day has suddenly hit home. Our next 4 Stevanage (A) Pompey (H) PNE (A) Sheff U (H)
SavageTheBeast
We need to take 7 points at least in the next 4 games Edited February 10, 2013 by SavageTheBeast
JoeP
Scunthorpe will be OK, I reckon. I think two of Colchester, Shrewsbury and Bury are the ones we need to finish above. We still have to play all of them - 6 pointer games and then some....
Tommy_Fent
focus on the other teams later on, if we win 7 more games and draw another then we will meet the magic 52 points barrier
oafcprozac
Just had another look, we'll have two games in hand on Scunny though come 4:45 on Saturday, the fact we have 8 out of the last 15 at home like TP says, we have to make that count another 4 or 5 wins at home and a couple away will see us right. PlayItLivo
Yep, enjoy the holiday next week against Everton, have a pic taken and swap shirts with a Premier League player, enjoy the TV and media attention, 'cause once next Sunday is over, it's serious business time, we're as likely to go down this season as we have been since 04/05, probably more so. We need some shock results and string some wins together, if we go 6 points adrift of safety then it won't be salvagble IMO. We're unlikely to finish higher than 17th, which means we're gonna be fighting and scrapping for the rest of the season. tangerinedreams
How about going for 3 points every game and not even looking for a draw? Just a thought!
rudemedic
Bury there only about 7 miles away as the crow flies. Edited February 10, 2013 by rudemedic

Wardie
2-0 now! Looks like Scunny are making a good go of it now. We have brought two strikers in who can find the net and if we can manage to keep hold of Obita until the end of the season, then I don't see why the Latics cannot pull away from danger. ... and then preston go and score!! NewBlue
Scunny have not lost in 7 games and winning 2-0 tonight with a decent fixture list upcoming. They've come to form at the right time even though they got rid of their best player. Same with Colchester though the majority of their next 10 games are tough. Them and Shrewsbury, with their fixtures, are our rivals in this. The matches between us and them 2 are massive. lancy lad
Lads, there is a lot of footy to be played yet. I know its looking bad but don't torture yourselves. If we go on a winning run for 4 or 5 matches like Scunny have and Cov did earlier in the season we will be reet. Keep the faith!

I know what you mean, 52 points is the magic which is number 7 more wins and a draw out of 15 games, hopefully the new manager factor will enhance this run. But the easier it can be the better it will be for the ticker

pinevillawill
Yeovil 1 - 1 Preston. Like someone said, Preston far from safe. Carlisle pinched a goal back before half time and Bury losing. 15 minutes to go... Edited February 12, 2013 by excharnwoodlatic
