Markspark92
Just seen a tweet from Matt Smith @mattjpsmith: Not sure if anyone has ever got a fine like @CMontano11's before at a football club! Hahaha! Still laughing! @ConnorHughes24 @jonguy5!! Looks like he must of done something bad get rid I say clearly a waste of space, Obita miles better
Stevie_J
Get rid? On the basis of that tweet? I assume you're joking?

LaticsLegend
It's usually for forgetting kit, not cleaning boots etc.
Markoasis
You do know the players have their own fining system? ie: leave a training shirt behind costs you a tenner etc how do you know he ain't taking the piss out of him for something like that. The muppets on here are getting worse, first the royle stand now this !!!!!!
Ross2509
It will only be the system they have in place between the team not an actual fine. I would do the exact opposite of even thinking getting rid of him - top class player, class with the fans and loves the club
Stevie_J
It's bloody obvious that it's banter. Smith would have more sense than to tweet that if it was a proper disciplinary matter.
blueatheart
Lol. Tool. I used to go to Lee Nobes for physio and it was in the physio room at BP. There were signs up about fines for farting etc whilst on the physio table. Probably ripped of a big one with some collateral short damage that's all... Roger Ritchie
Sounds like he got a fine for something funny. Probably for doing something stupid or saying something stupid. Doubt Smith would be laughing about it on Twitter if it was serious.

Markspark92
Wasent aware of the game in training ! From what I've seen of Montano he is not up to it Obita looked like a miles better option on the left on Saturday ! I think Montano thinks he is some sort of Prima-dona and clearly has a poor attitude !
HarryBosch
Obita 'miles better'? How have you come to that conclusion? I'm intrigued. I'd say Obita's only performance so far was better than Montano's best performance v Crewe. Happy with Montano though once he's fit and Obita goes back

Yes Baxter is amazing. Philiskirk out. Gese.

Happy with Montano though once he's fit and Obita goes back I'd say in the context of how we played under Dickov at times this season, Montano's performance was better. Fair play to him for doing that but Id rather see him show his enthusiasm and love for the club on the pitch rather than off it and I'm still waiting for that to happen ! AndyGortonsMatches
Smith and Montano both appeared on that awful God channel after the Liverpool match, worth a fine in itself.

I think Montano thinks he is some sort of Prima-dona and clearly has a poor attitude ! So you are aware of the ins and outs of the football club are you? On that basis Obita's a :censored: and :censored:ing useless as he got himself sent off against a :censored: team that hadn't won all season whilst on loan at Pompey…. Montano comes across every inch as a level-headed young man. It's taken him time to settle hundreds of miles from his family and friends and had been struggling for some time with his injury. When he's been fully fit he's been a threat and probably up until the injury kicked in was one of our better performers especially September to November. Why do I know this? well i was at Pompey, Crewe, Crawley, Sheff Utd, Kiddy, Etc, Etc…… as well as every home game - he was disappointing in a few matches but always looks to go forward. If handles properly he will a bug, big asset. If he's booed out of club by fickleness, then who knows…. Markspark92
We will have to wait and see I've seen Obita have 1 very good game out of 2 and I've seen Montano have 3 or 4 ok maybe one good game (Crewe) out of 20 odd appearances. Obita looks much more quicker and more dangerous, Montano has looked lazy and clumsy in most games I've seen

simplythemostimportantkick
Theres a reason we have these players at this level, its the inconsistency. They wont look like world beaters every game but if you utilise them correctly they can be a constant threat as in the defenders wont be able to relax and in turn this can create space and oppurtunities for others. If you want to see better technical players week after week may i suggest la liga on sky sports . Im sure they would also perform better with a bit of support as opposed to ripping them to pieces verbally and constantly groaning . I know its frustrating but im happy if a player tries to do the right thing, even if they dont pull it off ( oooooooh matron ) everytime.
