singe
Essex recovering from 15/8 to 20/8. Its not even the lowest score at Chelmsford 30 (*and 2 weeks) years ago Surrey were all out for 14 in their second innings.

Frankly Mr Shankly
Ooh, I thought we (Delph) would be able to play Hoggy this weekend but then I realise he's down there for the weekend for a one-day match on Sunday. Top work Lancs though. That scorercard looks bonkers!
ceskylatic
Chapple and Hogg are at it again.Top of the table clash against Northants,Northants are currently 32 for 5 in their first innings after being put into bat.
jsslatic
57/9. As well as Lancs are going at the moment, this is a sorry division we are playing in! Went along on Tuesday night, poor Ashwell marooned on 98no, needed 6 to win, front foot no ball straight past the wicket keeper for 4 - game over. Very harsh as he deserved a century. singe
Northants 60 all out Beware of typical Lancashire though....

singe
Was 80/7 but something of a recovery at 136/7, the current pair on 42 & 32. Need to break this stand. Not just Hogg and Chapple bowling this innings. Still in effect 39/7 so got to be within Lancs grasp. Could win this in two days! There, I've jinxed it now. Stevie_J
Northants have got their :censored: together with this eighth wicket partnership. Looks like Lancs might be set a target of 100 or more.

rudemedic
Not quite, but Lancs are already 1-1. Must be a helluva deck they're playing on. 8 wicket victory. Northants have already put in a complaint about the pitch, but the ECB pitch inspector said it was OK, still think there may be more to come regarding that. jsslatic
Went along last night. Poor bowling and poor captaincy lost the game. Chapple allowed Parry, Croft and Kabir to bowl at Hales and Hussey whilst they accumulated large scores, only bringing his strike bowler on at the end with 30 needed. Takes both of them in his first four balls and then goes on to get 5 for but too little too late. I'll never understand the logic behind bringing your best bowler on when the game is already up. Better getting at their best batsmen whilst the game's alive and leave the lesser bowlers bowling at 7,8,9,10 and 11. The game was lost by the time McClenaghan came on. It's even more bizarre than leaving the middle order to scratch for singles in a 40 or 50 over game and using your powerplay for the tail in the last few overs. On a side note, McClenaghan is an absolute beast and looks a cracking signing. Hopefully win tonight and put them in good fiddle for Headingley. Frankly Mr Shankly
Well done to Delph's Arron Lilley who makes his debut in tonights T20 match vs Yorkshire. All-rounder really who bowls spin. Been looking excellent for Delph in last season or two. Got 173no in the T20 on Tuesday night away at Marsden.
jsslatic
Went to Headingley tonight. Not sure what to make of the result in the end, the game really ebbed and flowed so neither side can complain. Nice to see a full house though watching county cricket. Was very impressed with Lilley.
deyres42
Should have been a doddle after the start we made but made a mess of the middle overs again, a common theme. Lilley did well and Parry bowled much better, right decision to drop Prince and have Smith opening, still baffles me that Hogg can't get a sniff in this format though. Frankly Mr Shankly
still baffles me that Hogg can't get a sniff in this format though. After chatting to him last Sunday I don't think he's the biggest fan of the format like.
jsslatic
Comfortable win this afternoon. Very impressed with Lilley again. Bowls very tightly to put the squeeze on in thr middle overs. Interesting to see how he gets on when called upon in the longer format. Would be nice to beat Leics and the Yorkies to ensure qualification before Trent Bridge. Stevie_J
Better day for Lancs today after a tough one yesterday, taking the last six wickets for 66 and now on 76/0.
