I'm sure that LJ has been researching the loanees for a while - he isn't like some of the the clowns we've had in our recent history (over the past 20 years). We obviously need experience as well as quality, particularly in defence, where we have been unlucky with injuries amongst a rookie bunch. Hopefully, a Championship defender will fit the bill. I'm not sure what's happened to Lanzoni. We were told he'd be out for two weeks, after which he suddenly went to Italy for specialist analysis and we await still the prognosis as the five-week mark approaches. This is not the LJ style and the kind of thing (along with a deafening silence from the club web-site) that we've had to put up with until Johnson's arrival. Perhaps the manager and player are treading water until the short-term contract expires, and Lanzoni is looking for a club back in Italy. I cannot think of another explanation for the apparent lack of urgency and information to fans.

Lanzoni's injury might originally only been a two-week one but it was then re-evaluated and was deemed to be a bit more serious. The fact that he has had similar injuries in the past means it is somewhat of a chronic problem, and part of the "delay" is due to trying to sort out this chronicity. Factor in the language difficulties and it is considerably more complicated than first thought.

Please not a wide player when we've got 2 of our own not getting game time. A striker with Charlie Mac out is a possibility and a defender

He obviously doesn't fancy them much if he's playing Mills and Philliskirk there in front of them.

Anyone got L. Crofts number?

I'd like to see some expierence come in but that will come at alot higher cost than untried youngsters. Without tarky last night there wasn't one leader in our defence including oxley . Oxleys reluctance to come for crosses is preventing us from relieving pressure and slowing the game down when we are under the cosh . Time for rachubka maybe ? By bringing in two kids on loan Lj is running the same risk as previous managers of hampering our own players' confidence/progress.
