NewBlue Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 So, so poor. Never have I been so convinced we weren't going to come back from 1-0 against such average opposition. Manner of the defeat the worst. We've just made that Bradford team look good...
maddog Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 Shame. A win and we'd be 1 point off the play offs. I wasn't there, but I'm sure the pitch didn't help our most successful style - i.e., passing. Still only 4 points off. It's not the end of the world.

josh_latics Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 Horrible. NewBlue's right, we were never ever going to come back from that. Possibly fatigue-induced from playing on Thurs, but Wilko has a real attitude problem if it isn't going for him.
maddog Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 Passing. seems such a long time ago when that was our style No it doesn't!
NIKI1234 Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 No it doesn't! we are light years away from the team that passed for fun before the turn of the new year. Who knows what our preferred style is recently.
NewBlue Posted March 28, 2015 Author Posted March 28, 2015 We aren't the same team that battered Bradford a few months ago our pomp. That was horrible to watch compared to what we have been - no chances, just ineffective hoofball. We were no better than them today in terms of style. At least they're built to play that way, we just hoofed it to players who aren't suited to it after losing midfield battle.
oafc21 Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 Well, decent atmosphere in the 1st half, and then they play like a useless bunch of twats in the 2nd half and send the decent away following flat!!! So disappointing if we attacked them instead of being sat in our own half!!
RoyleArmy1994 Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 On the way back. Absolute p*ss poor! Never looked close to winning nor gaining a point. Pitch was poor. Lots of sideways and back wards passes. Only jones and winchesters runs saw us come forward. Disappointed and if there was any play off chance, its gone
underdog Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 I didn't go but listened on BBC manc and besides the commentary, all I could hear was our supporters singing. "Everywhere we gooooooooooo...." Even when the second went in Well done to those who made the trip

Even when the second went in Well done to those who made the trip I was listening to it on the way back from my game today and I'm pretty certain it was the Bradford fans singing it...

Of the seven games that are left, I think Latics may gain another eight or nine points
underdog Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 Well if it was them, how very dare they nick our song......swines...hope they stay down now...haha Oh well
Gaz_Oafc Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 Just seen the goals on SSN, first goal from a corner and Bradford win 4 headers all in and around the 6 yard box before the tap in... 2nd goal the keeper should save quite comfortably.
oafc1955 Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 Not happy.....that was piss poor, created nothing at all.
Flemboy Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 Poor scrappy .They took their two chances. Some good passing and thought we were the better of two poor sides until they scored.Good away support but not as good as last time.Crap pitchand ref did not help.
Twisbrogan Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 Anyone else notice the pre-match wobbler from Jake Kean? May have completely misinterpreted what went on but he seemed to have a bit of an animated discussion with TP before taking his gloves off and walking off the pitch, leaving the youth keeper (who has just been released this week) to take his place on the bench.
opinions4u Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 Wilkinson. At 0-0 we were in the game. We lump a long ball forward and Wilko makes a half arsed effort to win the ball. They break, win a corner and then win the head tennis. But it all started with Wilkinson's failure to defend in their half. Once they scored they became are half decent team and we became :censored:. Never in it once we were behind.
Twisbrogan Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 The half time entertainment was superb. It was & the reaction of our fans to the goal was priceless. Those kids must have felt on top of the world.
Lags Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 The half time entertainment was superb. How much did Fellaini (blue 5) play the crowd?
opinions4u Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 How much did Fellaini (blue 5) play the crowd? He appeared in the same fixture last season. He knows us!
Lags Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 Bradford are an awful footballing side. Lump it forward all the time. If ever a match was the type who scored first would win, that was it. Wilkinson just got bullied out of it, simple.
PBL Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 First one for me under Holden but it felt familiar. Pretty even until they scored a scrappy one from a set-piece, then we had no idea what to do and not much fight. Struggling to see what the plan was cause we hardly tested their keeper, especially in the last 20 minutes we didn't put any pressure on. Lockwood looked shot, Gerrard definitely another Gregan in the making and shirt size, Winchester and Woodland too lightweight against physical, experienced opponents. Poor pitch and ref but nothing doing down the wings, Forte didn't get a single decent ball to feet or to run on to, and Wilkinson has obvious talent but his head went down far too easily... still not seeing anything in Poleon either. Enjoyed half-time though.
