Ryan
Not at all. Beating Crewe and Dale secured safety.
opinions4u
Twitchy until mathematically safe. But I think we will stay up even if we lose the lot.
deyres42
Safer than leaving your missus home alone with Peter Sutcliffe.
the_mighty_bosh
7 points is slightly concerning in absolute terms, but there are a lot of teams between us and the drop zone and many of them are playing against each other. There's only 4 points separating 23rd and 15th! Our worst losing run this season has been 3 games. We'd need to go on a significantly worse run than that to go down IMO. Hands on
53 points has never gone down! Nor has 52 - relax!
singe
I didn't like watching us at like we're safe already. That was Dire. And dodgy to do until we're safe.
Ritchierich
It would almost serve the club right if it got dragged into a relegation scrap after giving up on the season when #man jumped ship. Still don't understand why.
GlossopLatic
We are safe but we should be aiming for much higher than that, I'd be dissapointed with a bottom half finish this team is better than that.
singe
To be honest, they think they are better than that, but they are not mentally strong enough to be top half players.

Ritchierich
To be honest, they think they are better than that, but they are not mentally strong enough to be top half players. This 100% Been saying it all season, this is one of the weakest squads mentally I think we've had for years, no chance of sustaining a challenge and would not back them if the going gets tough in the last couple of games
Scapegoat
Not sure I agree completely. Without any statistics to back it up, I feel that this team has coped with conceding goals and getting back into games better than other seasons. There have been times when the first goal goes in against Latics I have felt that the game was over. Didn't go today - but accept that it was another poor performance. Scapegoat
P.S. We are safe IMO. Once you get to the point there are more points than games left between you and relegation you are extremely unlikely to get relegated and we have a points total that has never got relegated in the last 17 seasons. It may well be an awful end to season where we finish on fifty something points again and are only a couple of points clear - but League One is nailed on for next year. Also - we could still finish above Barnsley.

palmer1
Team talk sorted. Are the players really that arsed about Barnsley? I'd wager they couldn't give a :censored:.... Only the fans are bothered. Pointless really but what ever gets you through the rest of the season.

Scapegoat
Are the players really that arsed about Barnsley? I'd wager they couldn't give a :censored:.... Oh I don't know. I would imagine even if he left of good terms with the players / staff, friendly rivalry would still kick in and want to get one over on LJ. Or maybe I am just overly competitive. I'd hope so aswell, I just believe players and fans see it all very differently. Look at the Newcastle keeper laughing and joking with Defoe as they went through the tunnel yesterday... Cabbage Patch Kid
I'm just glad we're settling for mid table mediocrity rather than a relegation scrap. Play offs were always just out of our reach. It was nice to feel we had a chance though.
ChaddySmoker
If you dont want to win every match then you shouldnt really be a professional footballer, its the ability or lack of it that makes us a third division lower to mid table team AGAIN Edited April 6, 2015 by ChaddySmoker
stargazer
Can't be easy marketing this rubbish for a 19th successive year . Merry go round of players to follow once again .
