HarryBosch
Oldham fans need to understand the concept that one up front isn't defensive with the right lone striker and runners off him. Its actually attacking. Is it as attacking as two upfront? What about three upfront?
HarryBosch
Some of our fans need to realise, we can't attract top lower league manager's who've been a success wherever they have been. We could. There are only 92 of these jobs.
palmer1
Is it as attacking as two upfront? What about three upfront? If you don't get the ball to them or run off them and support them 2 up front will be just as effective as the one. The bigger picture needs to be looked at rather than just putting another body up top.
HarryBosch
Don't we still have the one Guy Branston had his lunch out of? Don't worry, I got it.
welshgaz
Is it as attacking as two upfront? What about three upfront? I'd say it's more attacking than 2 up front certainly if played correctly.

I'm amazed how worried many of our fans get about having a second striker lining up about 20 yards further forward from where the 5th midfielder he's playing instead of would have been... youngen
I'd say it's more attacking than 2 up front certainly if played correctly. The problem isnt one up front. The problem is 2 defensive midfielders. In certain home games, I would be happy if we had noone in DMC. Formation hes playing relies on wingers to get in and around the striker, but unfortunately only Dunn seems to get close to Forte with Jones and Yeates playing extremely wide. Baffling tactics now I am thinking about it!
L1onheartNew
Are we ever going to get a decent Paul Scholes thread again? I miss them so much.

monkeykieran
Heard he is looking for a bit of work, would probably work for buttons, is it worth giving him another call? I hope someone has called him?!! Edited September 12, 2015 by monkeykieran

flytrap
If we're still in the :censored: by January I'd love Scholes to come in as player assistant manager to save us. He's just scored a ridiculous 35 yarder in an exhibition game in Hong Kong. To still have that power and precision 18 months after retiring is quite something. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5GnejGbkuCY
