Kicking down the slope in the second half has always been perceived as an advantage for the players.

And the slope has never been clearer with the new stand highlighting it when looking straight in from the main stand!

Always new there was one but never noticed how much of one until recently!

It is actually less than it used to be as it was levelled off a bit when the plastic pitch was put in (think it was then) . Before then the drop was well over 5 feet.

Is there any distinct advantage to choosing which way to kick off first? You've still got to play towards both goals or is my simplistic way of looking at this missing a trick?

Only if its a last minute winner infront of your home fans, its an advantage for the fans
