Released From Other Clubs 2016

Viva Jose Baxter. Come home. Please.

Cuvelier, Flynn, Campbell-Ryce, Harris. I'd take em all.

Was Cuvelier the one who had the great season for Walsall a couple of years back?

Surprised at Flynn, we weren't much opposition at Brammall Lane in the league game, but he tore us apart. Their other stand-out on that day has also been released, Jay McEvely. Didn't put a foot wrong, I'd definitely look at him presuming Gerrard won't stay, although he'll probably want high wages.

Odd released list. Some decent players on there. Get the feeling the right manager would get them playing, but Wilder must fancy a different approach.

Cuvelior as had a bad injury since he's been at Sheffield United so probably released down to that. Always remember him being a must buy on FM

They hate McEveley at Bramall Lane. Think he's dog:censored:. That being said, he's almost got an identical profile to Gerrard, hasn't he...

Flynn was very good, yep, and Cuvelier was that player. Seem to remember watching him and thinking he had quality. Clearly struggled at Sheffield but they're clearing the squad out so anybody is expendable. Can see him returning back to Walsall though, given Sawyers is probably going to leave them.

If Shez signs Baxter that would make my year.

Problems? Probably, but it'll be entertaining no doubt and there's no questioning his talent.

If he's going anywhere then it has to be here, surely?! Only place he's remained clean, played brilliantly and just looked at home.

Get his dad chaperoning him, Shez wrapping an arm around him and Big Bazza reminding the lad to 'just say no'

Agree with all of that. It's not often that we're a good fit for a player, but we definitely were for Jose. Like someone earlier said, though, doesn't he have another ban looming...?

The only stumbling block for bringing Baxter back would be his wage demands. But considering he's suspended until January, you'd think we could sign him on reduced terms. Get him on the books, keep him fit and out of trouble, and you've got a hell of a January transfer. Whether we've got money to spend on a player who can't play for half a season is another question.

How did Sheff Utd even get to postpone his ban anyway?

Banned until January, no chance. Best we could hope for is him being on non-contract terms until then, and hope he doesn't get a better offer in the meantime.

Loved him while he was here, but since then he has only gone to take a total downturn. If he is still free when the ban ends, and we are chasing for the play-offs he's worth a look Otherwise steer clear, I don't see him staying fit until then even if he has a club.
