Pre season protest

Interesting....I now know who it is and their true name too thanks

Don't want to get involved in any way especially if it is now a police matter but what was posted on Facebook looked to me like the posts of a man not fully there upstairs and wanting attention.

You are going to have to narrow it down a bit-that could be anybody in the Main Stand

I am curious, what where the barriers for you? Thanks in advance

Asked a couple of questions, met by a response of 'should of come to the meetings you missed' and 'if you want proof come to future meetings' and the posts bit has now been deleted...

I've had that - "need to come to meetings". It appears to be a bit of a mantra...

I wouldn't be surprised if you went to a meeting and asked a question they'd tell you "you need to go on the Facebook group"

I followed his final thread on there and abject stupidity seemed to be the main one...

I went in trying to tidy it up a bit, remove the meaningless posts, of which there were plenty.

I took a lot of note of what people were saying on here regarding about a formal statement. It hasn't really progressed and you get met with an awful lot of objection from some.

Basically couldn't be arsed because whilst I firmly believe some have the club at heart and want answers, a lot in there are incredibly naive.

Same mantra is used by many on here re getting info from the trust, and the same lack of response is seen too.

In fact you have just reminded me that we need to arrange a fans q and a, where you don't necessarily need to attend but can log questions or log in live on the night. Thanks.

In the past, yes. Recently Underdog has done a great job on putting notes etc onto here. I think C.Hill (?) started putting notes up before underdog started aswell.

But the Trust don't claim to have proof about stuff and then don't give any details apart from 'you missed it'.

Thanks Rob, we are working on the communication bit and best use of social media too...and it takes me an age to type up notes..hehehe.

I was just curious if we could have adapted anything or learn anything from how the protest group was engaging with fans

Yes - do absolutely nothing that they are, and keep doing what you're doing.

The protest group's decision to distance from the Trust is bizarre - the last 12-18m with Simon Brooke in charge has seen a huge improvement in every aspect of the Trust - their communications, their decision making (thinking of stepping in and ensuring they own scoreboard).

The protest group are shooting themselves in the foot by refusing to engage with you guys.

Thanks josh, we appreciate the positive feedback as sometimes I get totally deflated when there are low points being a fan and trust board member. let's face it it's been lower than a bottomless pit at times last season/closed season.

We have some good things coming up as per our AGM notes in the pinned thread above.

Our continually support of playershare, with the help from opinions4u easyfundraising online shopping page. The now as Simon Brooke says

latics4life which came from a fan on here and I totally forget the fans name but always remember it came from owtb and the support stevie j did to keep it going too. The future

The tremendous coming together of fans, club and trust to get us a scoreboard and the revenue from that going unto more fan funding initiatives and to boost the trust war chest.

We will continue with meet the manager events... And hope our luck changes with regards to the manager then leaving us shortly after.

Fans q an a to continue

And much more I hope to come.

So if you wanna come on board...literally, then please come and see us or drop us a line we appreciate all help and specialisms

THIS!!!

It is painfully obvious for most of us that the trust actively contributing to the club whilst the protest group seem to be content with encouraging fans to stop putting their money in, I think we all have questions in regards to the sale of various bits of land and if the any profits made by Brassbank find there way back to the club but encouraging fans to #boycott will only further damage our club

Cheers everyone for the positive and negative comments. I never knock negative comments as it proves that something needs to be looked at, taken on board etc.

Even looking at how the protest group has developed has both positives/negatives and should be looked at.
